Vieira lording it at City

Vieira lording it at City

Post by Nos89 »

Vieira being the face of a brand new Mancherster City is really beginning to get on my tits. Nothing against him personally as he's being paid to do a job. He's an Arsenal legend, he's on the side of OUR stadium. He should be at OUR club. Someone get him back, he would do for us what Beckenbaur has done for Bayern Munich. Vieira is the captain of The Invincibles he should be at The Arsenal :x :x

Yeah, it is very very sad. But, I've always thought that Vieira, though an absolutely brilliant player, was a complete twat of a man. Even when he played for us. Deep down, I think most of us did too. That and the fact he wasn't really in the same category as the likes of Adams in terms of his devotion to the club. Remember his summer antics? He used to flirt with Real Madrid on a yearly basis, and I reckon if not for our success at the time, he would've fucked off long before his eventual departure. He's also a clear mercenary and if offered the same job by us he'd still choose them as they will play him a hell of a lot more than we would.

Pretty much bang on there, mate. PV4 was a legendary player but a total mercenary. Didn't he phone Cuntley and stir him up about the club's offer too?

But in fairness to PV4 he is a Gunner but not a Gooner, he didn't grow up with The Arsenal, wasn't an Arsenal fan so I can understand that while he might have a soft spot for us, the club he had his most success with, it was still only a job to him. The big money is at Citeh and while I don't approve, I certainly can understand it.

The modern game, huh? Load of old bollocks. :(

He also wanted to go to Spurs before City stepped in. He's a prick and always has been. The constant flirting with Real. And this is when we were good!!!

A great great player, but no loyalty whatsoever. Look at the Nasri thing this summer. Its why Henry is held so highly and Patrick isn't.

What a load of old nonsense!! My god, the way some fans turn on players - and in this case an all-time legend - the minute they leave the club is embarrassing!!  When are some of you going to get it into your thick skulls that the players never have and never will have the same sort of loyalty towards the club that we fans do? :banghead: :banghead: Enjoy what they gave us and move on for fucks sake!!

i agree with what has been said, Vieira was a special player for us, but he is as ruthless as they come. Didnt he nearly join madrid several times?

He isn't arsenal through and through, I think we all see that now. Don't blame him, because not everyone successful arsenal player supports arsenal. Football has changed, and self interests rule.

On what basis do you come to this "twat of a man" conclusion?
Also if you read "Addiction" you will know that Adams considered joining utd.
And do you suppose Henry would have stayed as long as he did were it not for our success?
Vieira gave 100% when he played for us, and was one of the very reasons we had that success.
The guy is an Arsenal legend end of.
The fact that many are now envious of his involvement at citeh and what they might achieve should never be allowed to change that.

Nobody is doubting his brilliance, or his status as a legend. But for me I can't get over the Spurs thing. Its why Charlie George lost favour with me. Once you flirt with them you're dead to me

I know what you mean but fact is that he did stay every summer in the end, until he was more or less asked to leave by the club.

He's an Arsenal legend , just like Cesc. He should have been offered a position by the myopic one, seeing him representing that plastic club he has no links with is really heartbreaking.
I'll always remember that penalty in '05 to beat Man Ure to the FA Cup . :barscarf:

Flirted with Real Madrid - I suppose the way Hazard, Goetze (don't google Goatse) Kaka etc flirted with us this summer.

Vieira absolute legend always will be :barscarf: , who was shat on at the end and went off on won a shit load more trophy's elsewhere.

Maybe the fact that he was shat on and the fact that he was never offered any kind of a role at our club are factors in him now working for Man Shitty

FFS He came from Senegal

And played for Arsenal :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Untwist and put your knickers back on there, period breath!!

I think you will find I summed up the PV4 situation succinctly with my inciteful and brilliant post above. 8)

There's no doubting that he's a legend, but a twat he also certainly is. Remember him spitting at Neil Ruddock? That was extremely embarrassing. Just an example. Vieira was an incredible player, but he did have a side to him too. Thing is, he was OUR twat so we tolerated him.

Also, I lost a lot of respect for him when he said he was open about a move to Spurs. SPURS! An Arsenal legend who captained the Invincibles wouldn't mind joining SPURS?
