fuck me, he was a hard bastard - never saw him play, too young but heard nuff stuff about his 'tackling' prowess. If we're on the topic of past gooners who were hard as fuck, how about wilf copping!!

Traore would win. He is an ex kickboxer, and would have too much handspeed for the stronger Toure who would have problems defending high kicks to his head.

As for all time, reckon it would be between Peter Storey, Tony Adams, Martin Keown , Steve Bould and Sol Campbell.

Probably Sol.

He would be lying on the floor after diaby 'clubs' Eboue 'every time.' Cant imagine Diaby being a hard nut tho!! I wouldn't like to run into Jens when he is in one of his stresses!!!

Been thinking long and hard about this all day at work..... here's what i came up with:

Toure - is a beast of a man but i see him doing his 'calm down boys no worries' hand gesture he does when he sheepards the ball away from an attacker and plays a simple ball to midfield,

Senderos - looks dumb but is supposed to be very intellegent so he'd prob suss out the opponents before wading in with a few clubbing blows and then retreating to a safe distance away from Jens and his windmills.

Lehmann - mad jens would be right up for it, flailling arms and angry pointing, but dont get too close to him or he'll fall over claiming to have been hit with a low blow.

Fabregas - he'll start well with lots of vision seeing the gaps and hitting them with ease before deciding that the flamster is an animal and best left alone.

Flamini - will be full of energy and wont back down from anyone. Keep going right til the end but just lose out for not being glamorous enough.

Van Persie - right up for it as long as his hair can stay in place.

Eboue - Gone early doors without being touched. Must be that mystery sniper again

Winner - Mr Wenger
His coolness and ability to spot a weakness will aid him to victory. He'll stay nice and steady and wait for the opportune moment and with a swift strike he takes the win. Plus he must have learned some martial arts shit in Japan.

Wow! I really should try and do some work now and again

Strange, thats the second time I've heard that name mentioned today.

Mate of mine who lives down the road sez to me this afternoon that the last time he was in London,(Dec '07) a mate of his, who is a regular at Walthamstow dog track, saw Peter Storey,-YES Arsenal LEGEND, sleeping rough outside on a bench in Green Lanes! Bollocks says I, yr fulla shit, but he was adamant that this is a true story.

Steve, that is his name, hails from Bounds Green, and spends 6 mths in London and 6 here, also claims that Stan Bowles,-remember him? has also hit rock bottom. Being part of the same bunch of mates that have gambled and frittered away there cash on wine wimmen and song.

Say it ain't so. If anyone knows anything contrary to this hopefully bullshit tale, can you let me know?
At least we could have whiparound and give him a bed for the night or something.

I really would hate to see a true Goon like Peter Storey end up like this.

This is a not one of my bullshit posts, and truly hope it ain't true.

Peter Storey - fecking legendary Arsenal hardman!! 8)

I know he had a spell in prison a few years back, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had indeed fallen on bad times. I agree with you though that if it's true, something should be done. It's heart-breaking to see an Arsenal legend living like that and if it is confirmed, the club should be made aware and maybe they could organise something for him.
