Van Persie contract talks on hold

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Now 28 years old, surely he wants more silverware in his career..

I think if he stays fit all season then he's a goner.

:(
Couple of points here:

1. If he stays fit all season I think we might win something

2. If he does leave it won't be for the money. I think we could/should offer him a shit load of cash to stay. Sure it could be trumped by Mansoor but we would still make him a very rich 32 year old.

surely no one is suprised by this - the bloke is our only genuine world class player

who could push for a starting place in Chelsea, Man City or Man Utd starting 11 and after the shite we witnessed at OT and Blackburn who would be suprised if he fucks off next summer

Wenger has to bring in Podolski, Robben, Hazard, Gotze as attacking options to persuade him to stay and also some decent defenders as well

That thing is the equivalent of a transfer request, whoever wears that is guaranteed to be off!

Agreed it has nothing to do with Arsene Wenger running the club into the dirt with a crazed 'project'

I blame Darren Dein and Pat Rice

Ploddering = Jayson in a public toilet cubicle.

All Darren Dein is doing is repatriating good players out of a shit club and making a mint in the process. :?

To blame the agent is absurd.

Henry wanted out, he got his wish.

Clichy was surplus to requirements, many fans wanted him gone, the club wanted him gone and so he was.

Cesc was always going to go back to Barcelona at some point, am amazed he stayed as long as he did.

Nasri was in it for the money and silverware, he has higher wages at City and more chance of silverware and owes Arsenal absolutely nothing.

Cheers, I thought it may have been ours from a time pre Wenger not that I'd know anything about that :barscarf:
