Suspect this one is going to spark some debate. What do you think? Is Graham right? Is Ramos the man to finally end the longest "transition" in football history?

as for the article writer and his im not standing up if they sing stand up if you hate tottenham do what you like but there still the number one hate club for 99% of gooners and always will,,

If you want to say, spurs may finish 4th next season, you might be right. They can win the mickey cup as well, but nothing more.
They are not Arsenal, Manure or even chelski in term of a winning mentallity. They have cnuts for players and they're still the team that published a fecking DVD of the game they won against us.
Can you imagine spuds facing opponents like AC milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Madrid...? I just can't imagine CL matches happaning in that shit-hole.

Firstly whatever the extent of their revival it wont overshadow us.
We may have to face the day they actually beat us again in the league and that they may become a tougher opponent, but they will not challenge for the title - as we will in the years to come.
Juande Ramos might be good - but he's no Wenger.
As for hating Tottenham - well the people in live I 'hate' are not as benign as footballers or football clubs - I save that for the bigger fish.
But I indulge in football related banter and hope they lose.
As for their traditions - they had a good footballing side in the 80s, but for me White Hart Lane could very much mean Selective Memory Lane, as it has been a while since they were ever particularly awesome.
Their years of talking about the wonderful football they played was just excusing a lack of comparative success.

for me personally I can honestly say I dislike sp*rs more than any other team in the league, 6 points of tottenham is better than 6 points off any other club, may it be salford utd, chelsea or liverpool.
IF you were to HATE any team sp*rs are the team any arsenal fan should hate.
Personally I think at the moment they have a very well established manager and when i found out he had become their manager i said to myself ohh sh*t. purely because he is the best manager they have had for god knows how long. I rated him when he was at seville and i still do to this day, he talks sence and does not shout his mouth off and try to play mind games like Ferguson or jose used to do.
Only time will tell if that continues or not.
I think ramos also has a good back up in poyet because it is quite likely that he is the brains behind leeds not wise.
BUT I still dont like sp*rs, this is not because of the football they play, the players they have but because they are our rivals and their fans are un civilized, big headed and are what sum up tottenham to me. I have never met a sp*rs fan who is nice in any way, my cousins are both sp*rs fans but they are armchair fans who beleive it is hard to get tickets for their games, bullshit, that sums up too me they arent really bothered.
To be honest tottenham can play well in the league but one thing matters more, finishing ahead of them and winning more trophies than them. that is bragging rights, not winning one game against your rivals in 9 years.
since the first time i went to arsenal i can remember anti sp*rs chants and even then i joined in becuase that makes arsenal, arsenal!!
I personally cannot see them coming up against teams like madrid and barca, i wasnt even alive the last time they had a team worthy of recognition.
the longer they finish beneath us in the table the better in my eyes.

a win in the shite english lagar final and they are world beaters, anyone would think they are england with their expectations. let them have their parade but let us hope it is overshadowed by a champions parade of red and white.

I agree with the writer in one respect and that is Spurs are on the way up but I don't agree that they will be challenging for the league anytime soon. To be fair if what happened to Spurs instead happened to Arsenal I'd have loaded the gun years ago. But this to me is what sums it up. Watching the game on Sunday I actually thought fair play to them they wanted it more both fans and the team and Chelsea were as usual up their own arses but the min you hear the fans talking they start mouthing off about what they are going to do next year and how they are going to be the top club in London again and you go back to thinking christ I hope they fuckin fall apart again. They beat us in a semi final and go on about it like we havn't won anything ever they just never learn.
One thing I disagree with him about is sitting down during the chant stand up if you hate tottenham, take a chill pill buddy "stand up if you'd rather enjoy seeing Spurs do not quite so well as us this year" doesn't really flow. I used to sing we love you Freddie but to be honest I never met the man I just used to enjoy his contribution to the club when he was with us. Although Arsene Wengers magic! I stand by that song.

couldnt agree more with the above, they are the most bitter and deluded bunch iv ever had the misfortune to encounter, nothing grates me more is the way our supporters get treated when going to their shithole of a ground, i personally hate anyone that hits woman and the like just because they support a club they dislike, that would never happen to any supporter coming to our ground. they have no class and deserve fuck all in football terms just because of a past that will never be repeated.
