disagree completely. rosicky had a few great games in the last 4 years and even though he is not a shadow of the player he once was, i think that he is good squad player and can bring some good passes in the final third.
i like rosicky, still a decent player and to my eyes he does seem to give a fuck, he is the happiest whenever we score.
arshavin lost his pace, and can't seem to beat defenders anymore. since that was his greatest skill before, i'd get rid of him.
Arshavin was never a really pacy player. His strengths were his intelligence and eye for a pass, his dribbling skills in a small area and his equally strong left and right feet. After Cesc left we should be tried playing Arshavin in the Cesc role since we are continuing to play 4-3-3.
O and to answer the question, Arshavin is marginally ahead from Rosicky in my opinion. But we could have had more from Arshavin if we played him in the right position.
one of the goals of that match in anfield when he scored 4 was a counter attack made by a run from walcott. arshavin ran the whole pitch alsongside him (yeah, i know ) as quickly as walcott, and many times faster than any liverpool player. he received the ball and smashed it through reina. he was incredibly fast, i'm sure he could do 100m not much slower than theo back then. yes he had pace.
and mate, arshavin in the cesc role? i think his worse problem is his work rate, how can you put a lazy ass to dictate the tempo in the middle of the park?? i never understood why the fuck people could ever want arshavin in midfield, you need to actually make an effort in that position, run the whole pitch, defend, attack... and you do need to be a bit physical in midfield, not exactly andrei's strong point heh?
Arshavin is a genius, which means you'll have to put up with a lot of shit but its worth it.
I loved Rosicky as a player, and that start of the 07-08 season he was amazing. Had he kept fit we would have won the league (as well as Eduardo and a new f'ng Keeper) But not now for me.

But at least Rosicky occasionally tracks back and makes a tackle (although his efforts against Olympiakos at times meant I'd rather he hadn't bothered).
Both flaky wasters living off former glories. When the Russki recreates his vintage from his first six months, I'll start forgiving him. He's been shit for a year or so now
