Fans like you will relegate us.
Demun, when we finish 6th or 7th next May, what will be your reason for still backing Arsene Wenger?
If we do finish 6th or 7th then I will be looking at the situation and I'll be more inclined to question if Wenger is the right man to take us forward. As it stands, I think our squad isn't good enough to guarantee a top 4 finish, but I do think we'll be there or thereabouts.....I'm realistic about supporting Arsenal, I know our limitations and I know where we should be, and I don't think we're at the point yet where we can honestly say we've lost faith in the setup...I agree there's lots of faults but we need to be realistic in what we expect. At the moment we aren't where we should be, but there's A LOT of football still to be played this season and I'm confident we will settle down and kick on.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed off at the moment. I'm also prepared to stand by the setup through a tough period, I can't be one of those fans that start mouthing off as soon as it gets tough. Later in the season maybe, but not at the beginning of October.

Its wengers fault in the first place that we have those limitaions. He is the one who sold two of our best players and didnt replace them with the same calibre of player. We had the chance to bring in players over the past 6 seasons to ADD to the team that we already had but instead we pissed about in the transfer market buying players that added no quality or were seen as prospects for the future.

No other team has changed our level of expectation of what we can achieve only us! The talk of Chelsea and City coming along with wads of cash meaning we have no chance is nonsense. It equates to about 6 games ayear that we play thoses teams and we could be more than capable ofntaking points off them. The simple truth is we had the basis of a great team 3-4 years ago and Wenger is the one who failed to make it stronger nobody else now fuck off.

So pleased we didn't rush in and sign Scotty Parker.

He showed none of the passion and commitment displayed by Walcott and Ramsey today.

Project Wenger is officially over.

Get rid now.

it must be bad, when even Gary neville is talking sense - what was the point of putting mertesacker up front, when we still passed it through the middle on the floor

the writing was on the wall, when Tottenham almost beat us to 4th place and then we need an Aston Villa collapse for us to nick 4th place
this season hasn't just happen, there has been a cancer at the club for the last 5 or 6 season

we will be the next Blackburn, Newcastle and Aston Villa, had a feast at the top table, but now feeding on scrapes

its just so obvious that wenger has lost the dressing room, when this happens the manager has to go, the AKB notion is a myth as well, no real arsenal fans wenger anymore.....wenger has been outmanaged again and again and has it proves he worse than redknapp as a coach

Today was utter shite.

You just knew that the spuds would win. They were absolutely terrible at times and far worse than when they played Liverpool- but they STILL beat us despite said shitness.

That is very very worrying

Why will anything change from the way it is now?

First and foremost, there is zero pressure on Wenger to get results

Wenger has the squad he wanted, he himself said he likes to sign small, slightly built players as they are better technically

He has stated that he will not change his philosophy

The owner and board have no ambition other than to make money

Arsenal will not be able to pay, nor attract top players to the club, in January or going forwards until major change happens

So for all the people who want Wenger out (that obviously includes myself), we need to accept that nothing will change for the forseeable future, that means this season at the very least.
For all the people defending Wenger and the team, loyalty is admirable but blind loyalty in the face of obvious major issues can be really damaging and will get worse as the season progresses. I do wonder what people need to see to believe change is required?

This is by far the worst squad of the last 16 years at least, we just don't have the players to get out of our situation and with impending injuries to the likes of Van Persie......which WILL happen, there is not a hope in hell of this team finishing in the top 5, not a chance. This makes me so sad!

Gary Neville's commentary spoke volumes about our management. He constantly spoke about the defenders bombing forward and leaving gaping holes at the back.
Just staying sensibly solid.
Just looking after the ball.
Basic stuff that has won Taggart trophies and actions that never been learned with us.

Ps How 1 sided has the Sky Sports coverage been over the chants issue. Nothing reg the usual sit down stuff from the Vermin being mentioned!!

For a man who has been in football for so long twitchy is pretty fucking precious as if this is the first time he has heard "abusive chanting". Fuck off down Twickenham 8)

It's so predictable to complain about our defending, and the way we switch off, but nothing ever changes. It's depressing.

By the way, Theo and Ramsey were shite.

Oh well, 15th now. Season starts week after next.
This sums it up for me and the reason I didn't renew the ST this season.

TBH I was expecting a bigger loss but thought we gave it a decent go with our sub-standard squad.

van de Vaart used his arm and then should have had a second yellow. Ches maybe should have done better for the second, although 1. Walker shouldn't have been allowed to shoot and 2. the ball moved a lot.

Something has the change.

Options;-

1, Change the manager.
2. Change the tactics.
3. Change the recruitment policy
4, Change the board
5..Change the financial model
