Time for the Arsenal crowd to play their part (28/2)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Time for the Arsenal crowd to play their part (28/2)

usual thread starter… sorry people, got a bit carried away there. And one thing I will state is that the message does not need to be given to most of those that use this forum.

However, if some of the burger eaters that might chance upon this can think about supporting the boys rather than stuffing their faces during the game, it will hopefully make a difference.

I just want the atmosphere on Saturday to leave the players in no doubt that we are up for this and that it really matters. Looking at some of the attendees on matchdays, at time I wonder…

Ed,

You ever thought of becoming an evangelical preacher?!

I'll be there for the "matchday experience which", for me, is watching Arsenal play and hopefully win and, as a bonus, do it with some style.

We can sing "we're by far the greatest team......." and actually mean it.

Come on you REDS!

Nice rant Ed :D

With you all the way - but I was actually under the impression that it is my own personal job to slag every single ref and lino that ever visited Highbury or Ashburton.

Still I can always use some additional assistance. Thanks

Totally agree.

I felt that way before the Blackburn game, and feel it even more strongly now. Yes the squad is looking a bit creeky due to injuries at the moment, so this is the time for we Gooners to play the role of 12th Man.

It's time for a siege mentality. Give absolute hell to all teams that visit the Grove. Lift the lads. Scream at the ref/Lino for everything. And finally make all those bastards in the media who dub us as 'quiet' eat their words.

rant time

Well said gooner.ed. This is our opportunity to change the atmostphere at the Grove and show the team and the away fans what we are made of. Lifting the team spirit will surely lift their performance.
You never know, you might even get the prawn circle to join in....

Stadium noise

Post by Freddie71 »

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Can we have the singing in unison (all together) as well , I'm fed up with hearing the same song but different lines at the same time. It's bloody confusing and annoying.

And you lot with food fill your mouths with vocals and not pies.
Get behind the boys if you cant do that then give your admission to someone that can.

I agree with the principal but we know on Saturday it'll be the same old day trippers coming along late, leaving early.

Top article mate, wish that more people in the ground had the same attitude that you do. Unfortunatley i think that come Saturday it will be the same as ever. Still all we can do is try, so lets all stand, sing (not at 100 mph) and give anyone not doing the same a hard time.

You're joking?? You want the burger/pie eaters and all the video camera operators to take part in a football match atmosphere??? But that's outrageous - they're going so that they can be entertained!!! Please keep it down so that their viewing pleasure isn't spoilt.

thanks

I couldn't agree more. It's always baffled me why people go to football matches and sit for what seems the entire 90 minutes stuffing their faces. If that's what you want to do sit in a cinema and stick your head in a bowl of popcorn ! The grub is shite at football grounds anyway . The Grove should be packed full of fans who live and breath Arsenal. If you're not committed fuck off ! Let's make life uncomfortable for these people. We should show the players tomorrow just how much we want the title and make it a very torrid afternoon for Villa !
