IT SAYS A LOT ABOUT THIS CLUB TODAY WHEN

Post by Babatunde »

- A kid who was mucking about at Lorient last season is your most reliable holding midfielder and performs better than a DCM on £60k a week who has been there for year

- The fans are desperate for the introduction of a kid who was only the third best player at League 1 Southampton.

- A Conference right-back is coming on to save the day against Gareth Bale.

- Fans are taking encouragement in a 'good performance' after losing to Spuds

- With the score looking bad and Arsenal desperately chasing a goal, a giant centre-back was flung up front...when an £80k a week Morroccan striker doesn't get a look in. And the summer signing up front cannot be trusted as he was out of his depth against Shrewsbury

- Your left back is so atrocious you start to wonder what might have been had Clichy stayed

- When your reserve right backs of Djourou and Jenskinson are so pony it makes you question whether Eboue should ever have been released

- You look at the Spuds striker, formerly one of your own, and wish he was playing up front for you

- The famous Arsenal known for their defending, and you are looking at Spuds' defence and thinking it is so much superior than your own

- You see Spuds finish the game with the likes of Livermore, Bale, Walker, and people like Lennon out...and then you think to your own club's laughable 'youth policy' even though you have just watched Aaron Ramsay and Theo Walcott.

- When you look at an Arsenal starting 11 in a NLD and think to yourself that only three of them would get in the Spuds team. Disgraceful.

- Fans got excited about the signing of Gervinho. Even though he has less international caps than Eboue, and Eboue is trusted to play on the wing ahead of him most times.

- Some fans actually thought Benayoun would add anything.

- Arsenal lose three out of the last four North London derbies and scrape a draw in the other. When was the last time ANY Arsenal team had a run that disgusting in NLD?

- Arsenal will probably spend the entire season looking up at Spuds.

- You wish Scott Parker had signed for your club instead of Spuds. Scott fucking Parker.

- The manager will simply dismiss the fans, and 30,000 sheep will renew their STs next summer, go to the Armoury and buy the new kit and chant 'One Arsene Wenger' again.

- Despite an enormous wage bill, you still wish your side could compete with Norwich, Everton, Villa and Newcastle in the league.

- You would literally take any competent manager to replace the epic wanker in charge of your club.

- Despite the highest ticket prices in the world, many fans are listless automatons, who continue to do fuck all to force change but actually promote it, by buying tickets.

- One win against a rubbish side soon, and all will be forgotten.

I want my Arsenal back. This is sickening.

Yeah, I think we all get it. We're not that good anymore. A midtable team. At best. We have to start being realistic. The manager isnt gunna go, were not good enough for top 4, so if we get a good cup run thats our best bet for anything positive.

Time to be realistic. We cant change the board or the manager, so what we see is what we get. Our aim this season is top 7 and a good cup run.

It really is sad to admit, but we have to accept we are now an average prem team.

A poor start to the season after a summer of nine signings.

But no news really.

Will take time to gel and I think further signings will happen in January.

Coquelin was clearly not "mucking about" at L"orient, he clearly improved and learned a lot.

Benayoun cannot be definitively judged after a handful of games, especially after a brief substitute appearance after a muscle strain.

Losing local derbies in no fun but neither is it "disgusting", well not unless you arrogantly believe that we have a divine right to win games.

Looks like Wenger is staying at the club for a while yet so just have to take the rough with the smooth as he attempts to build a new team.
OR join SWL and try and get Wenger removed.

So why are we being charged the highest ticket prices in world football?

You know why. I could rant, but why bother. It because of the way our club is being run.

Sunderland is going to be under 50,000. I reckon about 45,000. They might as well knock the top tier down.

How ridiculous and iroinic that we're going to be having highbury attendances in the Space Bowl next season!

good post babatunde.

sad but true

we have to face facts here and its the fact of this is the worse arsenal team / squad in nearly 20 years. watching wenger yesterday shouting at the players and it looked like none were listening to him.has he lost the dressing room :?:
not enough fighters or leaders in that team..

- Fans are taking encouragement in a 'good performance' after losing to Spuds-

I think that is the most galling aspect. Piers Morgan was tweeting yesterday that he could not believe how Gooners were phoning in to 606 proclaiming our "best performance of the season", and when I spoke to my Dad last night (a chief AKB by the way) he also said "just shows what all those idiots know who thought we'd get thrashed" (like we're supposed to take consolation from that).

1 point from 4 away games, scored 6 conceded 14.

That has nothing to do with any "special circumstances" - extrapolated over a season that is the type of away form befitting a relegation candidate, but we're all supposed to take heart from the fact that the most recent defeat was better than some expected ?

"We are moving to the Emirates to be able to compete with Europe's elite"

Clichy missed , yes !!!!

Scot Parker , same

Sadly agree with a lot of what you say.

Wouldn't want Ade (as a man) up front for us, as a player would love it, he is quality.

Gervinho looks like he doesn't have a clue.

My point is he never offers solutions just rants on and on .

Whats the point ,what is he trying to achieve ?

This Forum might as well be renamed the I hate Arsenal site .

Or you could just re-arrange it into.

Wenger Out Section
Board Out Section
Wenger and Board out section
BG's Beauties

Nothing else left here !

I think he wants Wenger out...which I guess for him is a solution to one of our problems.
