The battle for the top 4
although today is a new low I still remain convinced that this team is good enough to get in the top 4 again this season.
Between now and Christmas we only have 2 tough away matches at Chelsea and City and some fairly easy home games. I think the aim for the team should be to try and get on aveage 2 points per game from now on until Christmas which i think is possible.
then "new players" Wilshere and Sagna will hopefully both be available in February in time for the Champions League knockouts.

How anyone can even be discussing our prospects for the "top four" at the moment is beyond me.
How about "when will we win an away game". When will we keep a clean sheet in Europe.
At the weekend we watched United, City, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool all win again. Do I think we could beat Bolton 5-1 at the Reebok, or Everton 2-0 at Goodison with our current squad - not a fucking chance.
Mate, between now and January we are likely to be playing Carl Jenkinson or Johan Djourou at right back. We may well continue to have Song playing at CB, with either Frimpong or Coquelin anchoring the middle. If RvP gets injured we have Chamakh and Park available as our only recognised central strikers.
Top four ? Top fourteen would be a bloody start.....

The fixture list doesn't matter a shit, because no matter who we play or where we play them we're going to be scrapping for results every game.
There is not a continental hope in fuck we will finish in the top 4 this year and if anyone thinks there is I would strongly advise seeking medical attention immediately

You really are a deluded idiotic piece of work. Are you seriously suggesting that this team will finish in the top 4? As for "tough" away matches, would Blackburn have fallen into this category.Red Member wrote:although today is a new low I still remain convinced that this team is good enough to get in the top 4 again this season.

And as for clge knockout stages, I didn't realise we had already qualified for those.
Have you wached our games this season? we are a fucking mid table outfit, at best.
And with a growing injury list we will slip even further down the table.

That will be the excuse for our mid-table finishgoonersid wrote:You really are a deluded idiotic piece of work. Are you seriously suggesting that this team will finish in the top 4? there's no team spirit, no confidence, and no passion and you know, especially away from home, if we concede the players heads drop and you fear a lashing
our goalkeepers are average to shit,
the defence is still a joke
the midfield is piss poor
and don't get me started on our strikers
and i get pissed off, with constant moaning about injuries, all fucking clubs have them - deal with it
look at Man U - Vidic has missed the last 4 or 5 matches - but Ferdinand, Jones, Smalling and Evans step up and taken on the added responsibility
Vermaelen gets injured again, and Kosicenly & Djourou just plodded around looking shit

Sorry mate but even the squad isnt good enough these daysmikeyb772001 wrote:Its not just about the players being average, we have been average for years.
Season by season Wenger is getting worse and worse and has no clue how to motivate or with tactics.
We have a good enough squad to be in the top 4 but not with our manager

I agree with us being average for years but not the latter.mikeyb772001 wrote:Its not just about the players being average, we have been average for years.

Years of constant neglect has finally caught up so I don't think this squad is good enough for top 4.

The 1st team when fit (

The worrying thing is that we're talking about 4th place....The title is now automatically dismissed which is how sad thing have become.
