Predicted Carling Cup attendance v Bolton

Post by Red Member »

no doubt that this will be the lowest ever attendance at the Emirates.

I bought my ticket this morning and couldn't believe that probably for the first time ever I had the choice of every single block in the ground.

I reckon 35,000 maximum, possibly under 30,000 might turn up

Well Bolton can be relied upon to bring about 300 or so for this one, unlike Shrewsbury, so if the appetite for the game from home fans is the same I reckon a deduction of six to seven thousand from that gate will give a good idea....so around 40k still

If Bolton bring that many then fair play to the lads that travelled. As for our lot well the song "Are Our seats our best support" will have real meaning.

I went to the Shrews game but not this one. Very sick with the team and our manager.

I will be one of the ones stupid enough to go. Attendance will be low of course. But we will win and be told it is the start of the come back after winning one game in a row. And the chants of "one Arsene Wenger" will ring out.

Just checked the box office. Only 1 block is sold out, 3 oranges, and the rest is all green.

All joking aside that is an idea that I believe the club should be doing more often - geography and location mean less to the younger fans than in previous generations so fllowing your local team wont count for shit when the glory clubs start calling so it is vital we get our hooks into the future generations asap :barscarf:

A lot of out-priced locals and kids do go to the CC games ,the youth games few seasons back brought out half of Londons teenagers.

Reckon there could be 45 k there

If they get 40k there I think thats pretty respectable considering recent events and the lack of support Bolton will bring.

20k of empty seats is a lot of dough missed out on by Arsenal and will be a wake up call!
