Arsenal and Spurs 'disappointed' by chants

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal and Spurs 'disappointed' by chants

Post by Bangkokgooner »

Sorry but what are those? I watched it on-line while doing other stuffs so didn't pay attention to that much.

What I knew is the paedophile chant from them and I guess we sang the y word which is normally sung every games?

Do I miss anything?

dunno how they can possibly enforce this, every single person in the arsenal section was chanting and hundreds of the spurs section were chanting.

It was due to the Toga Song directed at Adebayor and the Paedo song directed at Wenger..Rich of Spurs and Harry to take the moral high ground on this when the first ever racist chant against Adebayor came from their hoards. Throw in the homophobic abuse of Sol and you get the picture..Yes all abusive chants are wrong but how do you stop them, certainly the selective nature of Spurs' reaction is not the way.

“Both clubs were extremely disappointed to hear the chants from supporters at yesterday's game. Neither club tolerates foul language, racist chanting, homophobic chanting or any anti-social behaviour from its supporters.

"We shall be working closely with each other to identify the individuals involved.â€
