Alex Thong on Arsenal.com- does he believe this shit?

Post by Wengerball »

Alex Song spoke exclusively to Arsenal Player following the North London derby against Tottenham.

You can watch the full interview on Player by clicking on the link to the right. Alternatively scroll down to read a full transcript.

Alex, how do feel after that result?
I am not feeling good because I felt we had the opportunity to do something great [on Sunday] but we didn't do it very well. We cannot concede goals like the second goal because knew before the game how Tottenham play. It was a big mistake we made. We need to learn from that because now it is not very good for us and not very good for the fans.

We need to just keep going. We can't lose games like this, it is not normal. We are not allowed to do it, for the fans and for everyone who loves Arsenal. We need to learn from this one for the future because we are not in a good situation at the moment. When everybody comes back we will feel very good and strong.

It seemed Arsenal would kick on after equalising...
We need more concentration. We attack together and we defend together and we dropped a little bit in the second half. That is why I think Tottenham scored. We have not been lucky in this game and to lose the game like this is unbelievable. We need to try and keep going because it is not good to drop now. We need to keep our heads up and try to push ourselves to learn and give the best for the future.

Arsenal being in this position is not normal. We now need to show something very good, not just for the fans but for us as well. Arsenal always fight for the first place, the top places. Now we are not in a good situation.

Is the international break coming at a good time?
Yes of course, we need everybody to come back and be good for us. At the moment we are a little bit short in the squad, we need everybody to come back and we will be stronger. I hope we don't have anybody else injured now.

It is very important for us to come back after the break with a winning mentality. We want to show that we are not down, we are here and we can do something good.

Arsenal will always fight back, won't they?
We don't have any choice now We just now need to take the good things and win every single game. We just need to be more focused now, try to defend together and try to attack together because the fans need it. We need just to make them happy. We need to win our games now. The fans did very well today and we didn't do very well for them.

The next five games are very important for us. We need to win every single one to come back and show the fans that we are ready and that we are tight to fight for the league.

Some classic lines from the Arsene PR Machine in bold

They are so brainwashed that Arsene reminds me of the Demon Headmaster from when I was young

Alex Song was one of the biggest culprits last Sunday, his passing out of defence, usually to scum players was embarrasing, he put us under so much pressure with his loose passing, I can't stand the walk he struts around the pitch.

How dare any of you slag him off. He's brilliant cos several people on here continually say so and how could they be wrong????

Actually I agree that Song is one of the main reasons that we are where we are in the League and why we haven't won any silverware for years. He is slow, indisciplined, wasteful, cocky, lazy, technically suspect and no-one can deny that he wouldn't have got anywhere near the 2004 squad, let alone into the team. And - would he get anywhere near Man Utd's team, or Barca's team cos that should be the standard we measure ourselves by.

worst player by far since 2005/2006 season
unbelieveble how he can play for AFC still
this is the classic example of wrong player in key-role
its normal that big players leave our Club because we're plenty of this kind of mediocrity
and i didnt read any single word of his interview because is something like wasting time
best performance i've seen by him is when outside the stadium far far far far away from AFC, same as many others that AFC fans thinked were good players like almunia ebouè denilson or other well-known mediocrity level players
and to conclude one of the worst example of players that put AFC style in the bin just looking at his hair/beard, its much better have 100 England skipper an alcholic addicted than 1 an alex song billong

Be fair, he had half a season of looking better than the rest but then it went to his head and out came the hair dye.

If anyone ever wanted a sign of decline over even the last 3 years its the fact that in 2008 we had Gilberto, Diarra and Flamini all competing for the anchor role in midfield

In 2011 Song is almost guaranteed to start 40+ games with Frimpong and Coquelin as the alternatives

And that, in a nutshell, is progress my friends. Forward ?

As stated before, he did improve from being a steaming pile of shit to the player he is now, below average but he thinks he's a whole load better.

bloke is a gormless cretin, who brings fuck all to the table and is an embarassment to the arsenal shirt
