BEST ARSENAL CAPTAIN

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Went through a lot of trouble in his personal life, got abuse from opposition fans, but never let the Arsenal down.

Captain for ages, won tons of trophies, leader by example and by vocal encouragement, tough as old boots, good sense of humour.

Mr Arsenal.
needless to say he managed to nail Caprice, LEGEND!!!

MOST OF YOU HAVE GONE FOR TONY ADAMS BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO SEE FRANK McLINTOCK CAPTAIN ARSENAL. SO, TO GIVE YOU GUYS AN IDEA:

McLINTOCK WAS LIKE ADAMS BUT - IF YOU CAN IMAGINE IT - WITH MORE PASSION, INSPIRATION AND WAS AN EVEN BETTER LEADER OF MEN!! THE OPPOSITION WOULD HAVE TO ALMOST KILL HIM BEFORE FRANK WOULD EVEN CONSIDER CONCEDING A GOAL - LET ALONE LOSING A MATCH.

FRANK McLINTOCK WAS AN ALL-TIME LEGEND THAT WOULD PROBABLY GET INTO ANY ARSENAL XI ON HIS LEADERSHIP SKILLS ALONE. THE MAN DESERVES THE RESPECT OF EVERYONE WHO LOVES THE ARSENAL. 8)

Great call mate, can't decide between him and Tony Adams, both great and both would stand up to be counted under the greatest of pressure. I'd be grateful for either for the remainder of the season.
