That Mata deal still makes me angry. A fee was agreed, personal terms were agreed, Mata even told everyone he was moving to London to play for AFC. Wenger dallied because of Nasri situation and the chavs swooped.

We should have signed Mata REGARDLESS of the Nasri situation.

We all said last season the squad wasn't strong enough. Wenger said the squad wasn't strong enough, Gazidis said the squad wasn't strong enough. Both said we'd strengthen.

What happened? We got rid of first teamers Nasri, Bendtner, Cesc, Clichy, Denilson, Eboue and brought in Arteta, Benayoun, Park, Jenkinson and OC...

In my mind only OC and Arteta are anywhere near good enough for the Arsenal and nobody regardless of if you're AKB, JCL can say that this is a stronger squad than we had last season.

So what does that mean? It means Wenger LIED AGAIN. It means Gazidis lied to us again. Meanwhile our new owner sits back doing fuck all, offering no investment whatsoever, no words to the fans, no input by the sounds of things.

And meanwhile, they slap us with a massive increase in ST prices and the highest ticket prices in Europe!

We make the worst start to a league campaign in fifty odd years, the squad is in complete disarray, injuries play their part and the squad is threadbare after a month!

It is beyond me how anybody can be satisfied with the current situation, MOST of which is self-inflicted by Gazidis and Wenger who have shown no spine, management skills or negotiation skills whatsoever, and meanwhile we continue to pay through the teeth to watch a sub-standard product.

Sorry for the long rant, but I've been reading the FC not PLC debates on twitter and frankly the abuse is a joke. You only abuse someone if you do not have a relevant argument. The AKBs are losing control and they know it.

Back to the interview.

Geoff or whatever his name is really left his chin out when he started blabbering on about signings not working out and Wenger not being to blame, specifically regarding Arshavin.

You could have had the knockout blow Nick by reminding him that Arshavin didn't make his name or wasn't signed on the strength of his stand out performances on the front left of a three man attack.

He was signed, not utilizied to his full potential, and is now regressing further and further away from the player he was.

As are/have so many "talents" over the last few years.

I agree that there were a few openings, but when you're put on the spot, it's difficult. I also felt that both of the presenters were against Nick from the off. He was fighting a losing battle as soon as it started.

Good effort though. I'm happy to do an interview if one comes up. It'll be like being in The Bodhran.
