Mackems footy thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Clique? He's already in the clique. Imagine that, Frank - a fan of another club got into a Gooner clique you can't get into! Yes, you are that much of a geebag. Sorry, mate. The truth often hurts. 8)

Good news folks

http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... l-training

I can see big Djourou nailing down that right back slot. Also the return of the Squid  . Wonder if he'll make that Centre Back slot his own with a run in the team.

"The return of Koscielny and Djourou - along with Sebastien Squillaci - will give Arsène Wenger plenty of defensive options when Arsenal resume their Premier League campaign against Sunderland next weekend."

There we are all our defensive problems are solved- its like having 3 new signings. We've really missed the Squid.

On the contrary, with these two useless *word censored* back, it'll make us vunerable at the back (not in a Kingjay way though), and I can see us having trouble breaking them down (as like last season) :?

It has to be Cockles at right back - he has played a lot there in his youth and i remember him having some good games there in the FA Cup as well (West Ham was it? something like that).

If its Johan at right back there really is no hope.

Will be there with the old man (although some people would have you believe the more positive among us dont got to games  )........i look forward to seeing the "banners" from both camps.......!!!

A win is vital, dont win here then you really struggle to see in what games we will pick up points (if any  )

Squillaci could also be cover at right back, being righgt footed. Well, if keown can play there then surely the more versitle squillaci can?
We might well see the return of 3-2-2-3.

I could be wrong though, you never know, recently this site has had some bizarre threads and a lot of extremists on both sides of the camp contributing to what amounts to online war

Anyhow if they were serious about squid being versatile then I will get the people with the white coats sent round immediately, could end very sadly, ala cuckoos nest and flying etc.

With regard to the game, who can call it really, we should beat sunderland but we could easily lose to anyone.....and I mean anyone.......2-2 draw.

Another own goal as well.
