When should the banner be unfurled

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I voted Sunderland too but ultimately it's up to the guys who are bringing it in. Am I right in saying that you sit in Club level SWL? If so then I can't see you having much hassle, just take care in taking it out then at the right time throw it over the edge. Nobody around you will know what's on it so you shouldn't get any/much hassle. Eventually a pitch-side steward will spot it and relay word to the Club level stewards who will either tell you to remove it or remove it for you for good.

As an old fecker on here i can say that on the terraces you would be able to protest with flags or whatever, so disagree completely with your views.
Dont recall steward malitia in those days............

red member you really are a plonker
its only because of seats that there is less of a protest these days because the working man has been priced out and people are split from there friends which also killed the atmosphere.

Does the banner get unfurled when we are comfortably winning a game? Does it get unfurled at a game we are almost expected to lose eg Chelsea?

I'm 100% behind the banner, but I think timing is crucial. This season, unfurling it in the dying minutes against Pool, Blackburn, or even ManU would have been impactful, but if it gets unfurled when we are obviously winning a game I think looks a bit stupid, something the AKBs would relish

I say... wait and see the outcome - and unfurl accordingly.

Red Member has never been on a terrace in his life.

The more I read of his shite the more I'm starting to agree that it is most likely either Louder or Iceman.

We can't ban people for having a different opinion (and never will) but we can ban them for trolling and WUM activity. Give this plankoid enough rope and he'll be joining iceman and louder soon enough...

...
another moronic opinionated post.
how do you know whether I have been on a terrace or not??

admittedly I did used to go in the West Stand more at Highbury but did go in the North Bank occasionally - when there was terracing. I used to stand on the side near the East Stand. Quite good position to get in the queue for the tube station afterwards

What the fuck would you know about the terraces? You were still sucking off the Teletubbies whilst the rest of us were watching on the terraces.

Go back to your Red membership Wenger-loving shite. It's clear you're here for wind-up value, your stupidity is that transparent. NO ONE is that stupid (outside the US).

augie wrote:The banner should be unfurled whenever swl has the support of people alongside him to do so and it is important that he is not isolated in this situation. Personally I dont see much happening when it goes on display anyway cos the akb have made it clear that they will be fighting fire with fire by displaying their own banners (am sure they will have more than 1 or 2).

Normally I would delay the unfurling until the next away game which is sadly against the chavs but seeing as our hand has been shown (too early imo) by the media coverage then not displaying it at the weekend may seem like a backdown especially if ladyarse and her breed of c**ts display their banners  I think it might be an idea to get some legal advice beforehand anyway cos we all know that the stewards (on orders from the club) will display total bias and will remove your banner whilst allowing the akb banners to remain and if swl's banner meets the legal and fire safety requirements then I would like clarity on their rights to confiscate the banner. I actually believe that confiscating swl's banner whilst leaving the other banners on display might actually help our cause (as long as swl or anybody else isnt punished individually) because the mileage we would get through the media over the clubs behaviour would be huge and could, in my opinion, galvanise the wenger out fans to fight the club gestapo 8)
Agree with alot of that but if the banner was about on the Man U away game I'm pretty sure it would have got an airing then, so the Chav away game, a probable defeat and a heavy one at that makes sense to me imo.
