When should the banner be unfurled

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'll do it. I've already told SWL that I'll go to the Sunderland game if the banner comes out. If not Im not going, but I need to know, to get organised.
I'll get off my armchair to do/see this.
Make and model please 8)
If I told you that I'd have to kill ya.

Think we should let SWL decide obviously, its his banner. No use sitting at home ordering for it to be unfurled! Either go and help or let him do it when he feels its a good time.

Yes its SWL's banner but some members on here contributed towards the cost. I've read no posts on here "ordering" it to be unfurled, rather opinions and ideas, points of view. All very civilised

I own a quarter of it. 8)

Personally I think it should come out when we have the numbers to defend the thing. At the moment. there are only a few of us willing to unfurl it. It sounds like a cop out but it needs to have maximum effect. SWL can't get any spares in Club Level for Sunday anyway.

Even if its only out for a few mins then taken down the publicity it'll get at the Sunderland match will be maximum. It may be taken away but they have to give it back to use again and again.

surely a home game - when we are on sky tv - i think the tv companies will glaze over this, if it's just on an ordinary 3pm kick off

need it to be in the lower tier, on the far side, so the camera's can't miss it

maybe we should have an 'UNFURL' banner and when that is unfurled, unfurl the actual banner.

When the decision to reveal it is decided it shouldn't be announced on this forum beforehand due to arseholes off other forums taking note.

Thats what I dont understand.
Then how is anybody who wants to help going to know when to "defend it" as frankbutcher says?

Pleas forgive me if this is a silly question. I'm not in the clique you know.

PM on here, Twitter. there's plenty of ways of arranging it without advertising it in public.

Picture this -
Sunderland game. Banner out before the match starts.
AKBs start mouthing off and a few try to maybe take a grab at it or remove it. Theres a bit of a confrontation, a stand off.

Fucking media gold. :barscarf:

Job done. Next please.
