Arsenal seize disabled fan's special ticket

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Will the club confiscate tickets off other 'early' leavers?

I knew this club was becoming a joke the moment we employed a clown as a goal keeper. :-P

The son is her carer right? But when she feels sick he leaves her to go off on her own to the car and get physically sick and stays watching the match.

What kind of carer is he?

Well played Arsenal.

I did think that but it is still very heavy handed!

Add this to suing a little Spanish lady for selling hats in a shop with the name 'Arsenale', add this to 6.5%, add this to PHW and his insulting comments, add this to Wenger's incessant patronising of the fans, add this to the Disneyland corporate fuckfest that is the Emirates, add this to the letters banning free speech on banners, add this to nazi stewards, add this to the AKB mongs who have become a spasticated cult, add this to Gazidis abusing our intelligence, add this to Denilson, Diaby, etc all disrespecting the shirt with insulting disgusting 'performances', add this to the manager dismissing the fans and talking about stupid wages in football then negotiating a 6.5 mil a year scam for himself, add this to the 'Custodians' of the club who were supposed to never sell out and then did anyways to some shifty handbar tached cock-smoking masturbator.....

HOW CAN ANY OF YOU CONTINUE TO PAY THIS DISGUSTING CLUB AUTOCRACY MONEY TO FILL THEIR POCKETS AND FILL THAT SHIT-HOLE!

That was kinda my point... I agree that the carer should leave at the same time as the... erm... caree? However ripping up a ST rather than a quiet warning is overkill.

Says the ticket was suspended though doesn't it?

Wouldn't this be just for a game or two? I haven't read the link, does it go into much more depth than the quote?

Not even surprised anymore. I don't see anything of the Arsenal I fell in love with as a kid in this club anymore.

Assuming this lady is telling the truth, and not holding any information back, then yes - it seems very heavy handed.

However, often when something seems as daft as this it's because we're not being told the full story.

Maybe she was known for being a pain, maybe she repeatedly broke - or stretched - the rules, maybe this wasn't the first time her carer was alone watching the game... maybe having her ticket confiscated was the results of several warnings?

We don't know, and as the only source we have is the person who had her ticket confiscated, I'd suggest we shouldn't assume she's telling us everything.

I know people are angry and frustrated with the club at the moment, but I think some are too quick to stick the boot in.

I don't know, I just find it hard to believe that that's the full story.

Really mate?

Not disagreeing with your point but surely on a thread about a disabled fan losing her ticket you could have used your words a bit more sensitively don't you think?

100% agree. Often when papers print hard done by stories, their is always an element of the "victim" bigging it up so much that it becomes an etirely different event to what actually happend. Also they will have certainly witheld parts of the story to make them look more of a victim.

Dont jump in feet first bashing the club untill you have heard both sides of the story.

ha ha reminds me of a line from Alan Partridges new book. He uses the word spastic with an asterik next to it. At the foot of the page by the asterik it says "The word spastic was acceptable in the early 90's".

I think when the spastics society changed names to Mind, this outlawed the word for spastic schoolkids across the land, as it immediately ruled out the excuse "but miss how can it be a swearword, theirs a shop called that".

ahhhh. fond memories of the 80's right now.

Reminds me of that bit from The Office;

"Yeah, well, at least the little handicapped fella is able-minded. Unless he's not, it's difficult to tell with the wheelchair ones..."

LMAO

The Office, now there is a serious programme!!!
Only thing Gervais ever did, along with Extras.

Then he became a n-o-b!

You got me thinking about all the classic lines now...

Remember when Neil makes a funny joke and Brent goes
'That's the kinda stuff that I write'?! Ha ha ha ha.

Arsene Wenger = David Brent!!!!
