What do the French think of WENGER?

What about another banner on the opposite side of the ground saying "Arsene Wenger - Espece de conne". And a Spanish one saying "Arsene Wenger - hijo de puta". Or a German one saying "Arsene Wenger - fick dich" in another part of the ground.

Wenger's a cunning linguist so he'll understand them straight away but it'll be funny watching the stewards going into meltdown, not quite knowing if the banners are saying "Arsene Knows Best" or "Arsene was great but he's now a senile, arrogant, lying twat"

I told you before, Wenger's nickname with a lot of fans in French football is a term known as 'tocard'.

Sorry maybe to disappointed many of you but Wenger is well appreciated and respected in France. And as a supporter Club president, I think I know (more than Babatunde) what the majority of french Arsenal fans think of Wenger as well. He's also criticized a lot, of course he's made mistakes but there's only very few of them who would like to see him leave the Club now.

I'd like to say I don't blame Arsenal fans who want to see Wenger to leave the Club. Everyone has his opinion and I respect all of them. What I meant is I think one of the reasons many of the fans want him out is the fact we had a manager before him who has built one of the best defense ever and in the last few years it was far from that. It's not the Arsenal they knew when they were younger, so I understand the massive frustration.

There's not many arsenal fans in France who supported the Club before Wenger, that's true. Many of them started supporting the Club when the games were on french TV. So of course it's a matter of generation, and you can't blame them for being younger or started support Arsenal later than you did.

The Independent journalist wanted to know what french people and french Arsenal fans think of Wenger and he asked my opinion about it. What I told him is what I hear, read every day. I didn't meant to offend anyone.

Anyway, I'm just back from Marseille, and I'm really tired. I hope everyone enjoyed the trip and the game as much as I did.

De quoi tu parles? Jamains je t'ai dis que le mec n'est pas respecte. Ce que je t'ai sorti c'est que le mec est idolise par des supporteurs qui pensent que le club commence et finit avec Wenger, et que sans lui il n'y aurait guere une histoire Arsenal.

A ce qu'il parait aussi, nous jouons un football redoubtable grace a Wenger et avant lui nous etions que des cromagnons sans idee ni concepte du foot. Donc avant de te la raconter un peu mec, reflechis un peu. Et reflechis un peu avant de dire que etant Francais tu connais plus que moi, car je suis qqn avec un parent Francais, de la famille Francaise, qui a passe beaucoup de temps en France. Merci.

Mmmmmm... I can only speak of what I know. I'm french, I support Arsenal and I have a few friends who support Arsenal as well, and we all agree on the fact that Wenger is past it, that he should be replaced. Then again it just concerns me and my fellow friends, maybe not all French arsenal fans.

Concerning french football fans, I think most of them hate Wenger, but not for the same reasons. Wenger is oftenly being accused of looting the french clubs of their young talents.
He is also being quite criticized for his usual ranting vs the ref etc... when we lose.

Voila putain MERCI! Wtf. Ask any Marseille fans, ask PSG fans, ask even Monaco fans (remember AW won a title with them) if they like Wenger. Each to a man will call him a C***. Nicked Anelka from PSG, got peanuts for him. He talked about Marseille and Bernard Tapie's financial corruption but is now helping PSG to systematically kill French football!

You can disagree with me. If you say you know some french Arsenal fans who want him to leave I'm not saying you're lying. I'm just saying there's about 200 members in the Arsenal Supporter Club France and many of them are on our forum, so I told the journalist what I heard/read everyday.
And for the France in general, you won't find many people who "hates" Wenger, he's very popular.

Then people will believe who they want. I still think we should spend more time supporting the team than arguing between arsenal fans who is right and who is wrong. So I won't debate for ages about that.
