The Banner

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

as long as I try to justify my comments I don't see how that makes me a WUM.
Why am I a WUM? I don't follow.

I personally think you are a WUM because you go on and on about a banner when in reality it is unlikely to be shown ever in the ground.
You are winding up and trying to split supporters, when in reality all that should be happening is supporting the team.

lets face it the only time it will have any effect is if we are losing badly at home. Considering we hardly ever lose any home games you will have to take quite a gamble if you ever decide to take it in.

Also its totally fair game for people to have attacked the throbbing red member but imply you will ban him.

Old flash dishes untold shit out but then comes over as the sensitive sort when people come back at him.

Dual standards applied across the board time and again DB10

That's bollocks I'm afraid, Rahim. I will only explain this once to you so pay attention.

Mike Francis the owner and Gooner Ed the editor of the fanzine dip in and out of here for material they can use in the hard copy fanzine. We mods have been asked to not allow too many similar threads open at one time to make it easier for both Mike and Gooner Ed to take what they want from the threads and also to make it an easier reading experience for the members on here. That means no multiple threads about games or players that effectively repeat what is posted on the earliest opened thread for one.

We relax that rule as much as we can for other threads that are mostly banter.

But we do lock down anti and pro Wenger threads (for example) if they add nothing new to an earlier anti or pro Wenger thread. We do this in real time on our own time so sometimes it may appear we have left one open when in reality we might not have gotten to it yet.

We may also leave one open if it goes off in a new direction and thus in effect stops being a repeat thread. We don't always get it right but I reckon we do the vast majority of the time.

If Red Member keeps posting threads and posts purely to provoke the regular members he will get banned for trolling and that is a fact. At the moment he is borderline. We will see how he proceeds. Mike and Gooner Ed have a zero tollerance policy regarding trolls and WUMs.

So I will lock what I think deserves to be locked whilst being as fair as I can and I will monitor anyone that is a possible troll or WUM, as directed by the owner.

If you don't like that you can complain to Mike or Gooner Ed, I really don't give that much of a fuck tbh.

Now get the fuck back to work - those Nike hi-tops won't stitch themselves together! :D

54 pages given over to a banner.

Stop buying tickets and giving the club your hard earned money. Protest done and dusted and more powerfully and damaging to the club than the banner will ever prove to be.

Or alternatively take the banner - give them £60 a week (or £1000 a year in advance), spend another £20 in the bowl - watch them take the banner away, sweep it under the carpet and blame it on a "mindless few" (no doubt) whilst laughing all the way to the Diamond Club with your cash firmly in their pockets.

Ok DB10 I will try and consider my postings more carefully in the future.
as I have admitted on this thread I have probably gone a bit over the top.

if SWL wants his banner then I guess that is up to him

We've won 5 in 6 now, by the time Chelsea comes round it could be 7 in 8, I think you've missed the boat on this now, even if Chelsea smash us it will still look like an odd time to protest when the team are grinding their way back to form.

Aaaaah Gunnersaurus. Still desperately trying anything and everything to stop that banner going up, the ultimate impediment of free speech. Do tell, how much is Ivan the Terrible paying you?

Well, they go hand in hand, what pro is demonstrating when the team are grinding out a run?

Spend some money, transfer window closed.

Win some games, Er, looks like we are.

We could always say we want more tippy tappy as this winning ugly is not good enough, no, didn't think so.
