If Wenger does get 4th place...
and it's still a massive IF- Is this enough to save his job in the eyes of the fans ?
For me I just think he has reached his expiry date at the club and its so stale watching the Arsenal these days. Some were jumping up and down getting all excited about beating Sunderland 2-1 at the Emirates and I swear I have seen a thread offering the odds on Arsenal to win the Champions League....
For me the lowering of expectations, the conning of the fans and sheer lack of enjoyment watching some of the games we are involved in means the GIC still has to go EVEN if we scrape 4th place.

Don't you lads know?ThomasMitchell wrote:This^^DarylAFC wrote:Why is 4th place good enough when, not that long ago, if we finished 4th it would be seen as a bad year?
It's the Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City money. We can't compete, can't catch up.
So really there are two leagues.
Those three playing it out and the other 17 in their own league. 4th is first in that league.
So really we're doing quite well.

Why are Man Utd always included in this list? When did they get a cash injection from a russian oligarch or an oil sheikh?Number 5 wrote:Don't you lads know?ThomasMitchell wrote:This^^DarylAFC wrote:Why is 4th place good enough when, not that long ago, if we finished 4th it would be seen as a bad year?

To finish fourth this season with the current squad would be a real achievement for Wenger, but we know he won't invest and the team will just keep getting weaker.

It'd be an achievment for a manager coming in today, taking over the shit to come 4th.
But for Wenger, the guy who assembled this second rate IKEA alum key MDF squad, after the lies of even just the last 12 months, it should be held up as a fucking disaster.
They dominate a shit league but Man Utd are certainly not a dominant team.topcat wrote:IF he finishes 4th he may as well stay, but i don't think we will.
4th, behind to billionare clubs and a dominant Man Utd is an achievement in my opinion... But like i said i think we'll finish 5th-6th.
SWL have I cleared my position up yet?
