I completely agree with you on the buying a creative midfielder part here.QuartzGooner wrote:
Not sure about anyone else but even with Wilshere fit, and Ramsey and Arteta, we might be well off buying one more creative midfielder in January, though another striker looks to be the priority?
Ramsey slowly finding his form again.
He does deserve time after such a serious injury.
I think we are very short here and Arteta, well I just don't see what he brings myself personally. I thought he would create more than he has?
RVP is top quality and I'm glad we beat those inbred c**** after last season.
Stoll seething at the ridiculous lack of defensive organization, Thong being made captain and I detest Wenger as much as I did yesterday.
Good win though.

But he still lets too many passes go astray, and too many opportunities when he is in possession end up coming to nothing.clockender1 wrote:Eu ? How can Gerv not be sharp enough ? - made two, scored one. ?
I do not think he is a bad player, but he looks to me like a player slowly getting up to the sharpness needed for the Premiership, but not quite there yet.

Robin Van Persie is just fantastic. I can really admit now that without him Arsenal lack that spark needed to win games. The moment he came on against Stoke, the game completely turned into our favour. I am very pleased that we fought hard especially at the back to get all 3 points. 6 wins in 7 games isnt bad at all for a team that was supposedly going to be relegated, lol. I said about a month ago that we should just take the games as they come and not look too far ahead just as yet. Nevertheless, I am pleased with our progress and we are only 6th points off 4th spot. Bearing in mind the start we have had, that is just brilliant. Well done Arsenal

We were dire for an hour or so today, our game is so slow and labored. When we speeded it up, we were looking more like the old Arsenal and were causing problems all over the place. We HAVE to stop playing the tippy tappy football and go back to playing fast flowing games, that's how we open teams up. Good result but the real test of how much we are recovering is next week!
He did make a big impact on today's game but at the moment his first touch doesn't look that great to me. It may get better (after all even Henry's touch looked suspect at first) as he gets used to the pace of the game here.AFCWozza wrote:All about Gervinho, scored the first, and nothing but explosive pace to beat his man and 2 real QUALITY balls for RVP to stick a foot on, its beyond me how people can be disappointed with his impact on todays game.
But at the moment we have 4 wingers:
2 that are fast but don't have good control (Gervinho & Walcott)
1 that is fast and does have a good first touch (Arshavin) but can't be bothered most of the time
1 that is fast, has a good first touch and a good shot on him (Ox) so we don't bother playing him.
