I agree with you to an extent but my real concern is that one of our stengths is in my opinion (with the exception of the Sp**s incident) the teams togetherness. Will 'big' signings distrupt the squad plus casue wage issues etc. We have the core perhaps some older legs to be squad players? Or just just keep with the youngsters. What I am certain of is if we can keep this squad together then we have greatness coming our way.
I actually think, and this is a squad strength in depth issue, the players like Rosicky and RVP are potentail the problem...great players no doubt but we can't rely on them plus you lose the consitantcy of games together. When both are fit they will quite rightly be back in or around the starting line up but then in your attacked 4/5 players you have two who have not player regularly together. I think it makes a difference. If both continue to be injury prone with a very heavy heart (I rate both a two of our best players) I would be of the opinion that they should move on.

Two people want to know why I would rather win the FA Cup. The answer is simple - as a child I grew up dreaming of winning the League Championship and running round Wembley with the FA Cup. My main reason for hoping we win the European Cup is to shut up all these tossers that get at us for not having won it - remember this, the European Cup has been around only since the '50s - had there been such a thing in the '30s then it would be Arsenal, not Real Madrid who are considered the biggest club in Europe.donaldo wrote:I cant believe you.Just look who is left in the FA cup Barnsley.Bristol RoversWest Brom and Sheff Utd.The CL is the cream of Europe that is were we belong. I'd rather win the FA Cup than the bloody Champions League.
Wenger treated the FA cup with the contempt it deserves.
As for the origina questionl either one would make it a great season for us.
I accept the argument that this seasons FA Cup has a lot of tosh left in it. However you don't have to be a good side to win the European Cup either - Porto were a poor side, Liverpool were a poor side, we were a poor side for Christ's sake when we SHOULD have won it.

...which, in a way goes back to the old cliche; we don't have enough quality in depth in the squad. We are so near to greatness with this team but we need to sign more quality...
Well for me, we are top of the table now, all we have to do is keep going and getting three points every week. Easier said then done but I know we can do it.
As far as Champions League, we gotta believe. There will be gaps in Milan and we need to make the most of our chances and defend very well. Also I know that we can do it in the Champo League.
I know we can do both. I am not sure why. But I believe we can.

Would prefer the CL but think we are up against it against Milan. If we get past Milan it is all the way, no doubt!
I figure there are two really key prem ties (both Manure and Aresenal will drop a couple of points between now and the end of the season but.,..) the key ties are Chav and Mancs. I predict, and think that, we will take two points from those games. Plus Chavs take at least a draw against Man Urinals and we will be champions.

I love aphorisms. I only know one though, "kill two birds with one stone"Gunnerz4life wrote:Actually it should be "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush"khalid_red wrote:That is one bizarre, weird aphorismGunnerz4life wrote:A bird in the nest is better than two in the bush or something something![]()
