No point in playing Chamakh for the forseable future, surely. Park looks lively and always tries to run channels.

Decent showing against a strong Bolton X1 only really missing Kevin Davies . Ox and Frimpong did not have the best of games . Both gave the ball away quite a bit . Arshavin woke up for about 10 minutes and in that time scored 1 and made 1 . Park took his goal well and worked hard . Don't think he'll offer much in the air but was far more effective than Chamakh . Benny had a good game and great to see TV5 back . We played more like a 4411 with Arshavin behind Park and Frimpong & Coquelin as a CM pairing . Worked ok .
Would be happy to get a home draw again next round .

Some of our youngsters were shown up tonight. Frimpong, Coquelin, Yennaris, really weren't there. Lots of effort but often made bad choices, esp. leading to Bolton's goal.

Flappy reminded us all of why he isn't No 1. Ok, the goal was not his fault but some of his "stops" were a bit scruffy to say the least, although he did make a couple of quality saves.

Miquel looked good enough at LB, defensively at least.

Arsh: ridiculous=>sublime=>ridiculous

Park look very good. Didn't put a foot wrong and I can't see why Chamakh is ahead of him. Beautiful finish

Yossi did very well. I like him.

Great to watch TV play again. He is a quality defender and has an air of assurance about him. Hope he has only a minor reaction to his first game back.

Ox - not his best game. Young man made some poor decisions leading to a lack of end product.

Squillaci, didn't fuck up and I remember saying "well done Squillaci" for one of his interventions.

Subs did okay as well, Ozzy, Ryo and Boateng. Ryo doesn't yet deserve a chant though. Maybe the muppets can only sing easy ones.

"1 AW" :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

...and that was before we went ahead :?

All-in-all a decent showing. Yes, a nearly full strength Bolton side, but one that is really in poor form. So lets not start sucking each others cocks just yet.

What even happen to Rapheal Mead?

I recall he got a crucial away goal against Porto all those years ago? and looked very good.

The first half was proper shit.

it comes to something when the big screen considers Wenger retrieving the ball worthy of a replay!

My big hope before the match was that Park would score and relegate Chamakh from the first team squad so pleased with that.

the big frustration was seeing Vermaelen limp off.

Block 6 like singing "theres only 1 Arsene Wenger" don't they :D

Now, I'm a miserable bastard at the best of times but compared to a few on here it looks like I've been popping happy pills.

Firstly Bolton were well and truly up fot it, undoubtedly. Given their league position I was amazed that they played Cahill for a start. All four of the backline have regualr PL experience and Muamba, Tuncay, Klasnic and Kakuta are hardly mugs either.

Compare that to us with an 18 year old Spanish centre half playing left back, Yennaris at right back, three kids in midfield and Park still trying to come to terms with English football. When I saw the teams I thought we'd be lucky to get a narrow defeat in extra time, so to win at all, and to do it from coming behind was a decent effort....especially having the Polish clown and Shittachi in the side.

Yes, I admit Ox, Coquelin, Frimpong all got exposed at times. I don't know how anyone could criticise Yennaris at all. Thought he played really well and against an experienced PL and international performer in Tuncay. Miquel looked good on the ball, but also at times got exposed - hardly surprising playing at left back.

If you're looking for negatives then look no further than the useless fuckwit that is supposed to be our number 2 keeper. As if spilling the ball from that tame free kick to be spared by Klasnic almost taking the roof off with his woeful shot wasn't bad enough.....the shot that fumbled from his hands a few minutes later and landed on the roof of the night by chance - words fail me. Thankfully luck prevented the twat costing us our sixth cup competition with him between the sticks. If we want to give promising youngsters a go in this competition then personally I'd rather see one of the academy keepers given a run. Fabianski, Mannone and Almunia (if he returns) are never ever going to be good enough Wenger so stop wasting any more matches on them and get rid of the fucking lot of them.
