You thick, thick pond-life *word censored*.SouthCoastArsenal wrote:Did Stan & Ivan not realise that Jews belong up the Seven Sisters Road
And this is exactly what I meant with reference to previous threads on the matter (one of which was getting somewhere but I didn't have time to continue replying). *This* is why the **** thing is unacceptable on here and from every non-racist-*word censored* Gooner.
As for the AGM, I'm following as much as I can glean from Twitter, but I'd love it if someone somehow videoed it.

Just had a report on Sky Sports News. Made some notes of what they mentioned:
AW gave a rousing speech and got a standing ovation, but didn't take questions. The biggest ovation prior to his appearance was the call for PHW to step down and be replaced by David Dein.
Some of AW's quotes:
"We want to do things with class and we want to be brave. I see a lot of fear and discontent [amongst the fans] and I understand it, but we live in a world where we fight with people [clubs] with big resources. If we're not united, we have no chance.
"We defend our self-sustaining model, and believe we can still win trophies and be successful with it.
"Do not underestimate the players I have brought in, they are top class players. The basis of the team and the potential is right. I am more positive than most people are - WE WILL COMPETE!
"Where we will finish in the league, I don't know, but we are ready to fight. Trust us, this team has qualities and is ready to fight. If you trust us, we will have a successful season".
AW also mentioned that last season was his most disappointing, and said that because they played 27 games in three months from November - Feburary, they simply ran out of fuel.
Kroenke had just arrived a couple of hours before the start, and was greeted by a muted reception. He re-inforced the notion that he's committed to AFC in the long term.
Many calls for ticket prices to go down if we don't make the CL, and lots of fans are also unhappy about our current league position.
