Maybe they actually like Wenger? Just because some of us don't doesn't mean we reflect the consciousness of the general fans. I think some people on here are a little too self important.
They raised some very good points at it and challenged the board on a number of issues. Its clear, as Wenegr pointed out, that a lot of fans are nervous and angry, that message has been amde, and I expect the protestations against the board to continue.
Can we expect to see Kroenke Out banners being waved at the Emirates?
anyone know which game the yank will attend this season ?

Fine there are fans out there that still like/love/respect wenger for what he has done for the club in the past but do you think that they are 100% happy with wenger's performance still to this day ? Would you not agree that giving a man a standing ovation, especially the way the team and club are going, suggests total unconditional support and if so what kind of fans are they ?

For me if you like a manager and appreciate what he has done for you in the past then you allow him a bit more time to fix things than you would allow a different manager but fcuk me that time has long since expired and sentiment should be thrown out the door

Yes but again that's your view, a number of fans simply don't share it. That's the way it is. People pay their money and they can treat the manager anyway they want. Wenger's not daft (though some may disagree) he knows his leadership is being questioned.
Anyway here is the speech in full

Just seen Kroenke's speech. Bloody hell, the guy looks & sounds like he's just been plucked out of the wilderness & dropped in Club Level
Bit of preparation wouldn't have gone amiss?!
Now, where can I watch PHW getting heckled?!
EDIT: lol, just seen him introducing things on here; http://player.arsenal.com/home/player/1 ... al-meeting
wtf, total messhead

The link is to a full (and very good) report on arse-blog.com. I've just read it and I'm on the verge of giving up!! As someone that has supported Arsenal for over 30 years I now feel no connection to what the Club has turned into.
It's so obvious that Wenger and the Board are treating us with contempt and the reason they do this is because we let them. How can any supporter be happy with their current performance? They are concerned primarily with making money (our money!!) and they don't give a flying f**k about our concerns (winning some silverware!) even though it's us that funds the whole thing!
Arsenal has stopped being a Football Club and they have turned it into an Old Boys Club / investment vehicle. The lack of honesty and transparency in their answers would make the North Koreans proud.
After more than 30 years I've finally had enough. I'll miss it as watching the Arse has given me so much pleasure over the years. However, there's no way I can keep on spending thousands a year just to make these arrogant / ignorant bastards even richer.

Well said. Feel exactly the same. How anyone can continue to line their pockets is beyond me but each to their own....Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:http://news.arseblog.com/2011/10/arsena ... 11-report/

Fucking hell. No wonder our club is down the fucking toilet. THAT guy's in charge?!Dan_85 wrote:lol, just seen [PHW] introducing things on here; http://player.arsenal.com/home/player/1 ... al-meeting

Having seen the clip, there is no doubt that Gazidis is the biggest *word censored* of the lot. All the others have some obvious reason to be there, even PHW (historical). Gazidis is just another Peter Kenyon, just a cold business cock in charge of the football club, with no apparent connection to either the "football" or the "club".
I'm a lot angrier about "his sort" than the likes of Kronke (at least he splashed out), AW, (at least he has given us something), or PHW (irrelevant old duffer figurehead).

Only till the end of the season would be my guess - as Kronke would have wanted to keep the waters calm when he took over. Having sold out all their shares and pocketed millions I would think the time to step down by "mutual consent" would be too good to miss.Bring Back Pires wrote:Fucking hell. A spontaneous round of "You don't know what your doing" would have been very appropriate for PHW.

Have you been to the AST meetings then? If so you must have been in different ones than I have.northbankbren wrote:Yep, I also agree with your point about smaller/individual shareholders.augie wrote:Basically it is a self appreciation society![]()

For me the AST are the most guilty of joining the love in. They are supposed to be a kind of voice for the fans yet I feel they are the opposite, and are very comfortable with their position within the club. A meeting with a rep from the club once every couple of months makes them feel as if they have some sort of power, yet in my opinion they have done nothing that really benifits the average fan.
They are the ones who should be making the noise, yet they seem happy to just feel as if they are part of the club, and seem reluctant to do anything that may harm this "relationship" they have. I mean a supporters group that charges to be a member for me speaks volumes.
Until the larger groups like the AST grow some balls and actually question the club, what hope do the smaller individual shareholders have of getting thier opinions heard.
Yet again someone passing comment without first doing the research.
Fanshare members also had the right to attend today and 100 took the opportunity. I assume (maybe incorrectly) that you are not a member of fanshare otherwise you could have come along and led the revolt.
Interesting that Wenger, once again, said that he is allowed to do things 'his way'. At least the Wenger lovers can't say the board are forcing things on him any more. This guy does what he wants, when he wants. Hence we are in such a mess.
I see no likely improvement in the management at Arsenal (from top to bottom) for 3 years. By then we probably won't even be classed a 'big club' anymore. We'll be another Newcastle.....big ground, decent crowds, never win anything.
