Hallelujah!

More than happy to talk about Arsenal.

Ok answer me this. Curiousity: from what I understand (correct me if I am wrong), you seem to think Arsene Wenger should not be sacked/is not the primary cause of our problems.

Do you think there is any hope for Arsenal with Wenger at the helm? And if so, why?

Do you think it is acceptable to see the lack of quality in various areas of our team unaddressed for so long?

I am curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Wenger deserves this season to put things right. This close season apart, investment has always been made in the team - from Sagna to Arshavin, to Koscielny to Vermalen to Mertesacker - even Squllaci, significant purchases invested into first team players -with varying success. As long as the efforts are being made il be happy on the "players in" side of things - we cannot compete with big big money signings its just the way it is. Now, if your asking do we have enough this season - then no, we dont - we needed quality to replace Fabregas and Nasri, but it is not always easy to find these players - and i still blame the two players themselves for treating the club with distain, could we have done better than Arteta and Benayoun? Yes. Does this make them bad players? No.

Now, my reasoning for giving him this season is that, in my opinion, this is the first time he has been really "up against it" in terms of losing a succession of games so early in the season and being midtable. If your judging the current squad on the 8-2 then i think that is a false accusation. We were humiliated, it was shocking, embarrasing and the players should be ashamed.....but missing that day were Sagna, Gibbs, Wilshire, Song, Ramsey among many others - plus all the new signings Per, Arteta, Benayoun, Santos - the team, the squad is vasyly different to that day and deserves a chance to grow and see what it can do. No team can gel quickly when pretty much the whole first 11 has changed. The squad was in disarray at the start of the season - Wenger is not absent of blame, but it was an unprecedented position for the club to be in and one we should and could have dealt with better. We have lost pretty much our first choice midfield and a lot of goals / assists. Yes we are relying on VP, but sometimes you need your top players to perform...Henry carried us in quite a few games for a time, as did Dennis in '98.....hopefully the team will gel and support him when he hits a lean patch, i believe it will - there are goals in the side.

The deadwood is slowly going - Denilson, Almunia, Bendtner (who i rate but will never make it here) plus the players that didnt want to be here. The Squad deserves a chance to develop and give things a go. People say "oh yeah but take their wages out we could have bought Aguero" is nonsense and im not even going to go into that.

Now, "what if we dont finish 4th".......then, if things have carried on as they have done Wenger has to go - you wont find much argument from me, because any Arsenal supporter can see what is missing / lacking in this side.

Now, if Wenger had gone after Blackburn and a new manager had got the same results people would be creaming over the "great turnaround". Yes, the opposition hasnt been top class, but no game is easy - esp with a developing team, a new defence and completely shit of confidence - credit must be given where it is due and it winds me up when people do not give it. Maseilles away was a massive test, people wrote us off before we got there - we didnt play well but we won, but some people cannot give any credit - if not for the win, but for the confidence it gives the team, the club, the supporters going forward.

Wenger has not been perfect, but I refuse to believe he isnt doing what he thinks is best for this football club. He has devoted many years of his life to the Gunners and deserves respect for what he has acheived - yesterday two spuds were talking about "the cup run of 91" - do you know Wenger himself has won more than those *word censored* ever will? Give us more than most managers could have, and maybe ever will? He is NOT free from criticism, no way, and as i said above, if he doesnt get top 4 i think it will be his time. But for me, anyone callnig him a *word censored* lacks class, he is there to be criticised and indeed, he should be - but he deserves respect.

I hate all this AKB bollocks - it mostly comes from older fans who have seen football change from something they oved growing up to the mdia driven shambles it is now, having been taking from the masses to the financially elite. Thats a wider, financial, social issue (bore you to tears about that i did my degree in it) but that isnt just the Clubs fault, nor is it Wengers. I have seen Arsenal under many managers, so i feel im rightly entitled to say if I think Wenger deserves respect and deserves to be manager, which for me, he does - currently .

Above all I just love this club, and i want them to succeed. Gong to games and booing the fuck out of them or callnig our players useless will not get us into the top 4. What Wenger said yesterday about being United to the outside is 100% true...We are Fucking Arsenal, everyone hates us, the media hate us, most ex-pros hate us and hate Wenger because he created teams that destroyed their dreams and made them look foolish (cough savage, collymore cough). Is the top4 likely? at this point, no. But Arsenal have always had a habit of doing well when the backs are too the wall and nobody gives us a chance.

I accept people want Wenger out, and they should be allowed that opinion. But at the same time they need to accept that the way its put across is poor and might not be the universal one. For me, the issues are with the Board and the way the club is run, you will find no argument from me there - but come the 90 minutes, im Arsenal and if your not with us your against us - im fucking passionate about this club and i make no excuses for defending it - be it internally or externally - like many others ive earnt the right too.

So, Babatunde now you see why i find it hard to comprehend that - if you "love this club" why where you posting calling Wenger a *word censored* DURING the stoke game when we were winning 2-1? Stoke have disprespected this club on many, many occassions - violated even - i dont care if Cashley, Adebayor, Nasri and Bin Laden were playing with Hitler as manager - the CLUB is what i support. You can see know why I dont really take you seriously? If you cant support Arsenal in that game, you never will.

Wow. Ok I see your points. But many thigns do not add up.

1. You claim investment has been made in the team with transfers: it has not. Think to the £40 mil from Kolo + Ade, think all the net profits made in the market. Money has been there and AW has not spent it.

2. You blame Cesc and Nasri. But why? They left for better clubs because Wenger could not match their ambitions. Henry and Vieira did the same. There's a pattern there.

3. Why is Top 4 considered success? I don't get this. Since when is 4th place good enough for Arsenal? Don't think you can talk about the proliferation of a media mentality, btu then on the other hand buy into the 'Top 4' myth. 4th place is failure.

4. Arsenal have a wage bill of £124 million. The board ain't flawless but they've allowed AW to pay whoever he wants and that wage bill is higher than Bayern's, AC Milan's and Inter's too. It's massive, almost on a par with ManYoo. Considering the resources at his disposal, how can you say Wenger has been doing well? I don't get this?

5. Almunia was our first choice stopper for 4 years.

6. The defending. There can be no justification for it being so poor, for so lnog, with AW doing nothing to address it.

7. I do not agree that Wenger should be given leeway because 'he has given so much'. This is a ruthless business (so we are told) and a man earning £6.5 million a year needs to live off results. No excuses will cut it.

8. If you blame the board, by extension you blame Wenger also because he consistently backs them and says 'I work in dream conditions'.

9. Wenger consistently lies to fans. That is unacceptable in my book and insulting.

10. You raise the injuries in the 8-2. I am afraid I disagree. For me I don't care if Arsenal had 11 first team injuries - you just DO NOT LOSE 8-2 EVER. If Crawley Town can got to Old Trafford and only concede 1 goal, i skint Everton can go there and be very competent, if West Brom can go there and get a draw; then there is zero excuse for Arsenal to concede EIGHT. Injuries or not. Despite the injuries, Walcott (£60k a week), RVP (£70k a week), Chesney (first choice keeper), Koscielny (£10 mil signing), Djourou (first team regular), Ramsay etc were all still on that pitch in the red and white. Never any excuse for conceding eight to anybody.

11. You raise a valid point on what Wenger said about being united but then he would say that wouldn't he? Yet again he failed to address the root of the discontent. He continues to screw us around (9 changes at Wigan??!), continues to make atrocious decisions, he made money again this summer whenh we desperately needed ti etc...but he avoids this question. He just says 'trust me'. I'm sorry but in the past seven years of poor performance the man has raken in over £40 million in salary. This ain't the Samaritans, it is Arsenal FC as I see it. And if we love this club then it should be ntoed that NO MAN IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB.

So what I want to know, is since when is a manager - a non-performing one at that - bigger than the club?

Apart from that some valid other points in there...
