As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
With the chances of AST and the Fanshare scheme increasing the amount of shares they hold - and therefore influence on the Board - looking less likely by the day, do you think it might be in the overall fans/club's interest for some of them to sell enough shares to Usmanov in order for him to cross the 30% barrier and thus start to get some proper scrutiny and perhaps accountability? He might even throw a few quid into the transfer pot!!

My sentiments exactly - surely they could sell their shares at an agreed buy back price down the line if usmanov decides to sell or even become shareholders in red and white in the short term so that they would be able to united and force the club to open it's books ? Of course if it is all about the power for these shareholders or all about maintaining the closeness they have with the club then this merger would never happen
Kroenke's "performance" was disgraceful. for a teacher to walk into a classroom of kids with that pisspoor level of preparation is taking the piss. For a "world class instituion" like Arsenal its just show of contempt.
"I don't know why I've been asked to speak here" indeed. Your only the owner what should you know.
the club fleeces the fans with shit on the pitch and the highest prices in the world and the majority owner can hardly be arsed to speak for three minutes at the AGM.
Fans must boycott the club financially untill Usmanov takes over. Kronke and Co are only interest in the cash. The AGM confirms this.
I think so too. During the brief period of Kroenke's brief, shit, but very telling speech, Kroenke seemed unable to conceive of Arsenal as constituting anything other than business investment.
"we were the best investment"
"we're happy with the direction of the club"
= its a proftable investment vehicle for driving profits.

I tried mate (life member of AST) but couldn't get away from work. Poor excuse I know but given the choice of earning money to feed the family or listening to a torrent of lies & bullshit, there was only 1 choice for me.
The AGM proves yet again that nothing's gonna change until:-
1. The ground is half empty
or
2. Serious protests take place.
Neither of those things look likely in the foreseeable future so the Board / manager know they can carry on fleecing us and lying to us.

Fanshare does not hold enough shares to swing the balance for Usmanov even if they wanted to sell to him for the reasons stated.
While performances on the pitch are better at the moment, the AGM meeting is further proof that the board and staff are still jacking off in our faces. No passion and blatant disregard for the footballing side of Arsenal.
I was completely against Usmanov buying into the club before, but if his appointment to the board installed a sense of ambition and drive then all the better. Public demonstrations against the guys in charge is really the only way forward, am happy to back the lads on the pitch but have no faith in the people running it.

The concept has been discussed at meetings.
Am very glad to hear that - sometimes we need to think of the greater good and I have no doubt that the books needed to be opened up cos we are being fed a load of bullshit by this fcuking board of *word censored*
When you say fanshare doesnt have enough shares I assume that doesnt include the ast shares does it ?

I think the rough percentages at the moment are 66% stan, 28/29% jabba, 5/6% small shareholders.
That 5/6% of course are not all AST members.
I think your wrong there.
The trust owns 3 shares.
Sorry should have written miniscule amount of shares. I remember we were presented with a share by the club due to some sort of administration cock up on the numbers issued a while back.
