EARLY LEAVERS!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I almost missed the goal because of people walking in front of me to leave. I don't understand when you're 1-0 down and the players are fighting for it, why risk missing a goal? Its slightly more understandable when you're 4-0 up or 4-0 down or its an evening kick off but why go to a football match on a saturday afternoon at 3pm and rush out?? And what message does it send to the players?

Another man in front of me arrived 15 minutes in and spent the whole time on his blackberry. Perhaps those Islington residents who got tickets when the stadium was being built are the ones to blame as well as the increase in ticket prices meaning the type of fan has changed. I know of people who have season tickets and arsenal aren't their team and its really sad because real fans (me included) hardly get to go.

Rant over.

I can sympathise with early leavers on a mid week game, because the Grove is a fucking nightmare to get away from. It shouldn't be tbh, because there's at least 3 underground stations within walking distance from the ground (sort it out TFL  ). Yes, I will stand here and say I have left early on two occasions, not through personal choice but more to do with the fact that my boss is the most unsympathetic *word censored* in the world when it comes to arriving late  (for the Spurs CC game last year I scraped it on the last train home)

But theres just no excuse for the scenes I witnessed yesterday. I wasn't at the game but was watching it in a pub. To leave early, when the team NEEDS our support, with our record in late goals (cheers for the stats guys), and the fact we're currently the best team in the league is a fucking disgrace. I'm sorry, but they'res just no excuse.

To all the Numpties: If you're not going to support your football club, fuck off. We neither like you, need you and we especially don't want you.

Rant over

Pay for my tickets(get me them in fact)quite hard for me to do considering i work as a landscape gardener and i am outside all day and dont get access to the net till i come home.yes i know theres telephone booking but they dont take my card. pay my train fare and arrange for me to have the time off work and i will be there every game home and away does that sound better? :)

The three points about the whole situation are:

1) Wrong message given to the players when they see the stadium half-empty while losing/drawing

2) Real fans missing out the ones who will always support the team

3) Us getting a reputation for "prawn sandwich" fans like Man Utd have if it continues

Anyone got solutions?

Something should be done about these fairweather 'FANS'.

THEY ARE GIVING US A BAD NAME Image

Unfortunately it's not just the prawn sandwich eaters. All over the stadium we have early leavers. Two guys next to me left with 6 minutes, 43 seconds left on the clock on the big screen - plus injury time (they arrived five minutes late as well).
