As well as being just about the best Gooner day in years it proved to me that there is no other game like football for producing that kind of emotional swing.

When that spiky haired chav tosser put them 2-1 after we'd spent the previous half an hour showing him up to be the useless plodder that he is, I don't think I could have felt any fucking lower (especially watching Cashley lording it up like the classless little fuckwit that he is).

But an hour later and ever since the joy of watching Captain Chav face down, slipping over like some little girl in the playground has already had about 100 viewings on the old Sky box. Is it humanly possible to take any more pleasure from one man's misfortune.

Well done to all the Gooners that were there - you sounded fucking amazing on the box....again. A truly happy, happy day :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

For once Wenger's waffle about mental strength might be onto something. Going behind in the first half the way we did despite playing quite well has been a recipe for collapse in the past couple of years, massive credit that we kept our chins up at that hole considering our recent record there.

I was reading an article on RVP in (i think) that i newspaper that reckoned he has been taking the team for "team-bonding" sessions ( ) and has been taking the captaincy very seriously. Good stuff if true, we've still got a long way to go to get back to the level we want to be at but for the past few years we've severely lacked having a team that fights for each other.

Maybe adversity and a proper captain has made us stronger? Whatever, we fucking trashed those plastic *word censored* :barscarf: :barscarf:

My sons football manager is a big Chelsea fan. He has asked me to run the line in this afternoons match.

Wonder what shirt I'll wear  !

...
it's quite a feat given how many chins Santos alone has.

Great day, great win and well done to all the players for showing some fight to come back from behind not once but twice - how often has that happened in the last 5/6 years? Hopefully this will be something that the team can take real confidence from. I still feel that the result was more to do with the players rather than Wenger. We are still all over the place at times in defence - we have conceded something like 17 goals in 4 away games which is not good enough. Apparently that’s the worst away record in the league . You don’t win trophies with a record like that. The priority must be to sort that defence out. But I still have 0% confidence in the man in charge doing it. Well done though to the team for showing some heart for once.

Well said. My sentiments exactly. The attack had a great day and pulled our shit defence out of a hole.

Great Result and a Big up for the club !

Im pleased to see so many of you actually enjoying what was a great day for the club and hopefully a turning point in the season.

Some appalling defending first half despite having great chances ourselves ,but some real backbone and gumption in the second which was great to watch .

Torres was shit and without Drogba the Chavs looked Ordinary and we had some luck for a change .
