Player Songs

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But that's such a good tune We should use it for someone decent. Don't want it being a class song that never gets sung like that Chamakh one.

One for Robin to the tune of let it be by the Beatles.

Van Persie, Van Persie, Van Persie, Van Persie,
Hattrick at the bridge, Van Persie, Van Persie.

Or change the second line to "scoring goals for fun".

Wasn't there already one for van persie to the Beatles.

Somethin like...

Don't worry, sell Henry,
We have got the answer
Van persie, van persie

It finishes with this..

Who would our new striker be
Arsene said politely
Van Persie..

This version happened a few years ago but as per usual if it has more than 3 words we struggle :D

Once again we plumb the depths of shitness with our o so imaginable songs.
The classic "Jenkinson,Jenkinson,Jenkinson"
Wow......
Even if you have some songs that might not seem all that for the players please keep trying for our sanity!!!

To "Hi ho silver lining"

And its Hi Ho Wojciech Szczesny
Everywhere he plays you cant beat him
We see that a star is shining
And he plays for us
For the Arsenal....

Back in the day it was the same tune for "lee dixon" and "Richardson" too. One match in the warm up the north bank sang "lee dixon" only for Richardson to acknowledge them - much to Perry Groves' delight as he ran around the rest of the players telling them of Richardson's gaff

I know that it was sung for Lee Dixon and the likes but is that our level now as fans?

its cool but cant the end bit be more about Arteta? Sounds more like a Nasri song with Arteta mentioned otherwise

I tried to start a new one when flamini scored against Newcastle in a 3 - 0 home win,

To the tune of sister sledge

"we got flamini, he's better than Thierry Henry"

The silence was deafening
