You gotta be careful with those orgies, you never know when the pile could collapse.

Has a Gooner season hinged so much on whether one man stays fit - in this case RvP. I thought we were pretty reliant on TH14 in 2005/06 but this is beyond a joke now.

Never will be's Bendtner and Vela farmed out on loan

Chamakh showing all the pace and desire of a bored tortoise

Park just isn't ready to be a main striker in this League yet. Lots of noise about the Carling Cup display but I thought he looked lightweight, most of the runs were poorly timed and he went missing for large chunks of the game. Not looking to be over critical of him because he needs time, but we really don't want to be left with him as our sole option if RvP gets crocked.

We really do need to add another forward in the window. An RvP three month injury and we'll see a collapse of similar proportions to last year

Isn't that the same for a lot of clubs though?
watch Man Utd collapse if Rooney gets injured

Park will be fine if he got a run in the side. He looks an out and out goalscorer. He would benefit from Wilshere's return though.

i agree with what you say steveo, but i do think that a central striker can go missing during the game if his quality is enough for that whenever he has the ball, he can create something special. romario spent 90% of the matches with his hands around his waist walking around and inside the box and still scored a game a match. i remember that during one of his spells in brazilian football he managed to stay like 10 or 15 matches without making a single tackle, interception or any sort of ball recovery. he just wouldn't bother. he also scored over 20 times during that spell...

so while i do think that park is more of a marketing tool than a new player, his finishing against bolton was a beauty and i'd like to see what he can offer. we desperately need a better second choice to rvp, and since we have one sitting on the bench, why not try it?

chamakh is in abysmal form, everyone will agree, and robin needs a rest since he's made of chocolate, no one will argue there either. so why not give a chance to park? we're in a confortable position in the CL anyways!

New striker and left back would be my priority buys.

In the current situation, with Chamakh and Afobe injured, then if RvP is rested and Park is not deemed ready, then it is not impossible that Walcott will get a go upfront, with Gervinho and Arshavin as the wide men.

Heard Crapmakh was out clubbing till 2 in the morning the day before we played Stoke.

Flog this unserious *word censored* in January.

Bring in a proper top class target man like Fernando Llorente or Oscar Cardozo.

Park should be given his chance now. Jenko has praised him on pravda saying he's very clinical in front of goal.

Lads let's not be cynical. Could be out for months.

But science has come a long way.

Really? I thought Park looked good against Cahill and Knight who are as PL as it gets, Wenger said he is ready to play and the fact that he was on the bench on Sat says he will be used.

We need to have an alternative to van Persie, not an inferior player either as if he does get injured we can't have a situation where a Bendtner/Chamakh type is playing such a vital role.

Wrong. Utd fall back on Berbatov (top scorer last season), Owen, Hernandez, Wellbeck.

No mate the original injuries (plural) were Hair gel in the eyes and a pint of Lube up the Arris - which he kept slipping on... :D
