The Basement is the root cause as to why the forum has slowly declined in humour. Many of us protested against it's introduction and predicted that it would kill the 'pub like' vibe of the place and I think we have been proved right.
Just like many of us have called for Wenger to stop his experiment, I think it is time for us forum users to call for an end to the Basement, it hasn't worked so please lets get back to how things used to be.

I find it quite sad that I have logged on here lately on match days and there is hardly a soul posting
As irritating as it can be with the petty disputes on here at times, I have to say that it feels a lot worse when the place is almost deserted - for todays match thread it has only accumulated 6 pages

This forum has changed a fair bit since I signed up a few years ago. There are several factors depending on your standpoint. If your a positive poster the plethora of negative posts is pretty annoying. Some threads turn onto conversations which there is nothing wrong with however if you are not part of the group chatting it can seem rather like a clique. The dropping of the herd and. Com forums would have created an influx of noobies who may approach the forumness differently. Let's face it once RvP gets injured were back to square one and we'll all be depressed posters. Or the longer you spend on here the more you realise you are all a bunch of cnuts and get bored.. :)

That is my point - I am only comparing this forum on match days now to what it was like on match days last season and earlier this season and as I said before the place is deserted now in comparison. I take the point gunnersauras that many of the regulars on here do attend matches but of late, if stories are to be believed, many are now actually skipping some games as more and more seats appear empty and every game goes to general sale so that doesnt explain why it is quieter on here on match days
