The Arsenal "Banner Design" Facebook App

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Great to see all the banners up on Saturday.

It has taken a lot of campaigning to finally reach this point. I particularly like the 'glory, glory?' one. Really surprised they got that one through. I have heard as well that it will be switched in terms of position so that it is directly opposite our friends when they next visit, just to remind them.

This is what the banner looks like:

IHH - shouldn't we be designing one for the Great Abou.

An image of the great man with - The Imperious One - alongside.

I'll give someone a prize if they design that.....

I wonder how many of those chosen will display the old cannon.

The pics are a bit grainy as the conditions werent good and they were only taken on my point and shoot.

But this gives you an idea anyway.... They did show the Robin one and the Verminator on MOTD.

Hmmm, not so sure about that Wozza, it's no patch on Highbury, we'll probably need to win a few trophies in it (not counting the E**** Cup) so some history can be stamped on it before we can finally call it our proper home, all the dressing up of it can't hide this sad fact unfortunately. :?

Agreed mate, its missing a soul, but at least an away fan turns up now, and even a home fan turns up and thinks.. yeah.. this is the home of the Arsenal. The first year compared to now so much has changed, i just hope as well all do mate that one day we parade a new trophy in there.. Perhaps when the sponsorship of the Emirates runs out we could be competing for a new pre-season trophy

Agreed, that would be great but this is long overdue and as you have rightly said, this should have been done from the first day at the new ground not starting the process 2 seasons down the line... but hey, I like to have a moan don't I...

Some are decent, some are cringeworthy as fuck. I think really the judging panel for these should have consisted only of me 8)

Too fcuking hypocritical for my liking - if the club wants fans banners displayed inside the stadium then fine but stop this bullshit policy of taking down those that you dont agree with then
Just out of curiousity when alanalan spoke on here last weekend about something that was gonna be unveiled at the baggies game that would really please us, was he referring to those banners ?? :?
