At the end of the day, I believe that the 66 pages on this thread, the interview with Frank by Durham, the 60 minutes of primetime airtime, the mentions in the tabloids have highlighted that some of us DO NOT believe that Wenger is untouchable and that things have to change.

Now you could argue that the upturn in form is a coincidence or an inevitability or maybe that the debate has focused their minds?!

I for one am still grateful to SWL for making the issue expand like wild fire

If you want to look credible then you have to unfurl the banner soon and keep on showing it on a regular basis.

There is no point in showing it once on the internet then putting it away once we've gone on a run of 7 or 8 or however many games we've won on the trot, only to then bring it out when we lose a game.

It looks fickle and lacks conviction. If you truly believe in your movement then you have to stand by it through both the bad times and the good.

Again, the opinion of the banner makers has not changed (with one notable exception...) after the recent upturn in form. Lovely to see us back to winning ways though!

As the 'notable exception,' who was on this forum before and has returned, I'd like to say this:

If the banner is going to be brought out, it should be brought out later in the season in my opinion. Like it or not (and I don't), Wenger will not be sacked in mid-season so it's pointless bringing it out and would create a poisonous atmosphere at the wrong time. I'd support any protest against the money-grabbing twats known as our board any time, but I think this is the time to back the players on the pitch, and like it or not, unveiling this banner against their manager is not the way to go. If things get fucked up from March onwards as per usual, then by all means I'd support this being unveiled. But for now I think it shouldn't be shown for a while and we should just wait and see how the season goes. I'm not absolving Wenger of any blame, and I think he and the board are as equally responsible, but I think any protest against the manager at this moment in time looks ill-advised.

And on another note, a reason why I left is because of some of the bickering and in-fighting on this place. I used to love this forum, but the bitching and personal abuse over different opinions became ridiculous, even worse than when a certain Martin was on here. Fair enough there have been a fair few WUMS on here and a lot of us are frustrated and annoyed with elements of support but we're all Arsenal at the end of the day, so disagree with opinions if you do, but do so in a respectful manner. UP THE ARSENAL

so this AA23 guy actually activley supported the banner and chipped in for it but after a string of home victories over relegation fodder he has decided the man who has abused his power at arsenal and failed to spend the money we had on important replacements for the team and is paid 7m to do so is to be given even more time?

Agree with LDB fully on his last point, flash as I said I initially left due to the amount of bickering and bitching that was happening on this place but decided I missed it too much so decided to have a makeover and rather than being in awe of a fat, lazy russian twat I'm idolising an afc legend (well he did win more than cesc did at the club )

One of the biggest threads of the OG in 2011/12. We got flak for never showing it. We effed up on this count, and I hold my hands up for it. But I've just seen this thread on AFC Forum from our good old friend. Apparently by finishing 3rd Wenger has proved us wrong and a fair few agree with him. Is this a sign of how far we have fallen? Who is behind Wenger's continuation as Manager? Are you giving him one last chance? Or is he God in your eyes forever?

Wenger has cunningly created an atmosphere within our once great club that failure to even compete is now looked at as a success, let's face it we're not even considered also rans any more, and mongy fans, JCLS and AKB's lap it up, it's only 8 years that we went through a whole premiership campaign undefeated and now we're supposed to be happy finishing a long way 3rd....
