HIGHBURY SPY- SO CORRECT

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

HIGHBURY SPY- SO CORRECT

Post by Step »

Often I do not agree with this fellow but in the latest issue he has got it spot on.

Why are people remotely interested in 15 fat posh public school boys chucking an egg to one another in the vain attempt to win a 'world cup' laughably with a double barrelled name?

Unfit lumps such as these can not manage more than one game a week hence we have to put up with about a fifth of a year for what is essentially a glorified 6 nations.

Why not make it an inter hemisphere knock out (is there any other sport where the hemisphere dictates how well the posh boys can play) where Northern Hemisphere meets Southern Hemisphere and we can get it all done and dusted .

I too avoided Talk sport during the non event and I'm sure many others did too.

England behaved true to form. (Sheltered public school boys not used to exposure to women) and let themselves down accordingly in a typically immature way but the media stated that 'that's what Rugger players do'.

Utter dicks the lot of them.

Minority sport played by Tossers and watched by Wankers.

Thank you and good night.

of his 3 page rant in the latest issue he spent most of it talking about non arsenal issues - rugby world cup, Olympics, different kick off times and how it interferes with his shopping schedule and x factor watching

The only redeaming feature is the obligatory picture of a scantily clad lovely :barscarf:

Back to the topic at hand. Rugby's a great sport, not so much to play though!

Funnily enough back in school I used to quite enjoy playing it, yet have never had an interest in watching it! I don't find it great to watch at all.

Interesting how we all have such different opinions of it.

About 2 weeks ago I was invited out for a social drink/smash up with a PR company and started chatting to one of the other people brought along by them. His name was Will Fraser. As the conversation developed. it turned out he played rugby for a living for Saracens. A genuinely nice guy. Polite and courteous and without a touch of arrogance at all. It is completely the opposite of how I thought a rugby player would be.

Football forever and a day though! :barscarf:
