Peter Roebuck RIP

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Peter Roebuck RIP

Post by the playing mantis »

Truly shocked and saddened to find out of his death.

A fine writer (just see his cricifo pieces for starters), and told it as it was. Unfounded allegations should not cloud his brilliance or his role as an outsider to the more populist players/media.

Unfounded allegations rather ended his coaching work though didn't it? Although I do agree he was a good journalist. Unfortunately I think there may be more to this story with rumours he was questioned by police only hours before throwing himself off a hotel balcony
