Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Actually, thinking about it, Denilson is the best Brazilian midfielder ever and Squillaci is better than Laurent Blanc, so Sunderland might want to get offers in quickly to beat the rush.

I'm happy that you like him. Please feel free to start a whip round. 50 quid and he's yours.
To be fair, theres nothing wrong with taking an attacking midfielder out of the running for a "Denmark's best ever striker" award, its like saying its unfair to take Cannavaro out of the running for "Italy's best ever midfielder", the lads quality but alas he isnt a midfielder and so doesnt count, just like Laudrup is a midfielder so cant challenge Bendtner for his crown. Obviously its open to debate whether any Danish striker has ever been better than him, but thats always the case. Personally I cant think of any that I'd rather have (Tomasson scored a lot but he was shit in England, unlike Bendtner who obviously is lighting up the SoL after illuminating the Emirates), so I'll stick with it for now.

Hopefully we will buy him. I'd happily see us spend £20m on the lad but unfortunately the lad wants CL football so I can see him moving to Germany at the end of the season

No chance. For a start, he has never said how much he "loves" SAFC etc, he's said hes grateful for the chance to play matches and wants to do well but that next season he'll probably go elsewhere. I like the fact that he's honest about his intentions. Obviously if he went to Newcastle it would piss people off but tbh I seriously doubt they could afford his wages and, despite their good start, they wont be in the CL next season. He won't go to them and if he goes anywhere else he'll be fondly remembered

By the way, my mum was born and grew up in Manchester () but at 16 she left for London and has never been back to Manchester since ( :barscarf: ) as she hates the place with a passion ( :barscarf: :barscarf: )

:? erm, i know that mate- hence my comment of "its like saying its unfair to take Cannavaro out of the running for "Italy's best ever midfielder", the lads quality but alas he isnt a midfielder and so doesnt count". I'm well aware that hes a defender, hence cant be in the running for best midfielder, just like Laudrup was a mindfielder so cant even try to challenge for Nicks striking crown which currently sits unopposed upon his golden locks

The question needs to be, why did Bendtner leave Arsenal? Was it to get away from a failing relationship???
