[quote]As fun as it was warming up to the near constant sound of various Scouse scallywags hilariously screaming “Who the f*** are you, you Cockney b*****d?!â€

''I was ushered to the side of the pitch to pose for a ‘still’ on camera, which was beamed out live accompanied by a tannoy announcement declaring''
Hmmm, did we have the brand named Tannoy as our load speaking broadcast unit at that time.... I suspect not...
Great stuff though, perhaps some of our current crop of wankers should read this article and learn what it really means to play for our great club.

Great read.
The current crop of mercenary's should be made to read that out loud before each game.
Just goes to show how hard it is to make it as a top level footballer, how so many come so close then fade away.
I think it was in Fever Pitch where Nick Hornby talked about Gus Ceasar and said he was probably a star all his life, best player on his school team, his local team, his district or county team, The Arsenal youth team, the reserves but then when it came to the big time he just wasn't good enough. Must be a terrible shock to be number 1 all your life then find out it's not quite enough when it matters the most...
