Walcott has justified his place in the squad, and is slowly getting more consistency.
And as BrazilianGooner says, he can strike fear into the opposition. It might be that the fear is from his pace alone, but he is our player, and while he has that pace, it is an asset.
Played in the right way, with a nice pass to run onto, Walcott is a very useful player to have, and has increased his number of assists too.

Bored of people knocking Walcott!
Yes, he can be frustrating at times but show me a player out wide who isn't!
My old man tells me George Armstrong could be frustrating as hell but then one moment would change all that!
He is playing more consistently, scoring more goals and creating more assists now so he has developed and will further.
What more do you want him to do............save fucking penalties?

Maybe the over the top criticism of Theo is due to that, upon signing, he was being labelled a 'wonderkid' and 'the next Henry'? - and now that he hasn't developed as we'd have liked, maybe some fans just can't get over that??
Theo is a very frustrating player, but I like his attitude and he does cause a threat with his pace and runs. I don't know what his stats are like, but as far as goals and assists from out wide, he seems to be ticking along pretty nicely really.
He's no Pires or Overmars, and I would like a bit more craft from our wide players (like Ribery, Nasri, etc.) but we'd be worse off without him, that's for sure!

still lacking to be a world class striker but IMO if he keeps at it then he'll get there.
Flash, what is it with you and Theo? he is far inferior and less important a player to us than Song. Yet if anyone criticises him you get all defensiveflash gunner wrote:You cant please some people![]()
We all moan about the bad press Arsenal get and when one of our players get some good press there is moaning too![]()
Like him or not Theo is one of ours - long may the press like him

Yeah agree with this - when Theo was signed he was the next TH14. We've played him wide right ever since. For a player playing in the wrong position he's doing a bloody good job I think.g88ner wrote:Maybe the over the top criticism of Theo is due to that, upon signing, he was being labelled a 'wonderkid' and 'the next Henry'? - and now that he hasn't developed as we'd have liked, maybe some fans just can't get over that??

Also, he's clearly a big game player. He scores big goals. Scored years ago in the CC final v Chavs, scored v Barce, scored v Chelski last season, scored down the swamp last season and this, scored v united at OT this season, scored v Barce, got the goals which put us into the champions league this season.
As far as I can see, Theo has improved year on year and as long as he continues with that, he'll end up a top player in his prime.
People forget that he's only 22, he's not going to be a world beater yet. People have been raving this season about Tom Cleverly at United. He's the same age as Theo and has achieved nowhere near as much recognition and standing in the game.

I think Gervinho has more assists than Theo this season.
I have a love hate thing with Theo, some games he can be outstanding, he scores some great goals, and you love him, and others he hides or just runs fast for a goal kick.
I think it's the fact that we get glimpses of his potential, that's so frustrating. IMHO when he can put together two 15 goal seasons from midfield like Pires or Freddie, only then can he be seen as worldclass.

Re: Walcott's PR Team
So RVP himself doesn't know who provides his most assists?AJAAFC wrote:See they've got to RvP now...
Robin saying assists on the majority of his 28 Premier League goals in 2011 have come from Theo - Premier League official website says it's about 5 at most!
I really don't get how he cons the press into it...
Another one today for first goal too!
