2011 FIFA Puskas Award - Another Farce?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

2011 FIFA Puskas Award - Another Farce?

How is this not on there:

Tell me if I'm crazy, but the second video is much, much better than some in the first.

Secondly, why do women share the Puskas Award when they don't share the Player of the Year award? Give them separate categories; obviously a woman is not going to win the goal of the year award when the competition is voted for globally - it doesn't take a genius to realize most football fans are men, not even including voting from countries where the thought of women playing the game is laughable or even offensive. OR, have them share the Player of the Year award if they're supposedly on equal footing, no pun intended.

I'm really, really upset the Hassli goal wasn't in the top 10. I've never seen a strike quite like that, let alone in a derby, to equalise late. Meanwhile three bicycle kicks get on there, one of which was tame (Gomez) and one of which was lucky (Rooney - albeit still a clutch finish)

PS: I voted for Neymar's.

As a resident of Islington , I find your reactionary stereotyping of the genders offensive. This goes against the social normalcy of failed Marxist/Leninist dogma.

Rest assured though fellow citizens of London,we will ne'er call it Communism, as your taxes pay for our Lexus's. Even though we show up for work in our Honda Civics...Go Figure. Remember. Cut down on ALL your Carbon emissions, whilst we triple ours...UP THE ARSE...

Usually going to be one that gets away.

This goal was not even "Match of the Day" goal of the month, it got beaten by a superb Le Tissier goal, but this goal was possibly the best of Wright's career.....

After Wrighty had beaten Bastin's record, they asked him which his favourite goal for Arsenal was and (I seem to remember) he chose the Everton one just for the look on Southall's face afterwards - you can see it in the video. Wright thought it was hilarious
