Tony Adams resigns from FC Gabala

I would welcome him back with open arms to our coaching staff.

As a coach maybe but i hope he never manages us. I think his management days are now over

His contribution as a player should never be forgeooten but in all honesty Shaun Ryder is a more stable human being than TA!

An absolute legend.
I've got the picture of him saluting (Jesus like) the crowd after smashing in the volley from Bould's chip, on my wall.
I used to pray that he would develop as a manager to one day return and lead us out of the wilderness.
He seems to be a good person who's conquered some person demons.
But alas, everywhere he's managed it's been a complete cock-up.
Better to remember him for what he did for the club.

He is a legend but not a coach. Just because someone bleeds red and white it doesn't mean he has the ability to be a coach. Brady was hopeless at Celtic and Brighton and Merson the same at Walsall et etc.

According to Barnet FC staff who played Kabala and beat them one nil in pre -season, Adams pre match talk was to raise his fist and shout "go out there and win it lads"!!!!

Not exactly Winston Churchill.

He'd be a good coach IMO.

Some would do well to learn what 'coach' means and what 'manager' means

You tell me what coach and manager are in today's game. For example,is Wenger a coach as well as being a manager? I think he thinks he is a coach as well as being the manager. Pat Rice is also allegedly a coach! The trouble is Adams couldn't win at Wycombe or FC Gabala. If he was the manager at that level you would expect him to have made a difference coaching those teams. Martin O'Neill was manager at Wycombe and he proved that he could coach and went on to prove himself through the leagues.

Not sure if i understand your point but are you saying Adams wasnt successful at lower level football due to him not playing there?

And to think that Kabala had Maradonna in midfield too!

Mind you, Scientology have our ex player Tom Cruise at left back, could be a tough game.
