Anelka?
Rumour has it he could be available on a free in January.
Personally I wouldn't want "Le Sulk" back and his form seems really shocking. Think we should aim highier.
That said he (like others) regrets leaving us and would sadly be a better back-up then Park or Chamakh. It wouldn't surprise me seeing AW doing this.

It's all well and good mocking the possible signing of le sulk but the reality is that we are one injury to rvp away from an absolute meltdown
Is wenger gonna spend money in jan to bring in a quality striker ? Not fcuking likely so we would then be depending on park who has played fcuk all since his arrival and is inexperienced in this league or chamakh whose confidence is shook so badly he wouldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo
Simple fact is that we need a striker and seeing as wenger wont spend money on a quality striker then anelka is a real option.......sad but true

Last time someone else scored our only goal(s) of the game was spurs away and of the 5 he hasnt scored in we havent scored twice. Injuries aside RVP is going to have games when he is off form and others need to step up to the plate but it looks like Chamakh for one isnt up to it and Gervinho looks like he couldnt hit a barndoor.augie wrote:It's all well and good mocking the possible signing of le sulk but the reality is that we are one injury to rvp away from an absolute meltdownIs wenger gonna spend money in jan to bring in a quality striker ? Have you seen Anelka in the last two years he's fucking shite. He has lost his pace and that was what his game was about.Yes i agree Chamakh and Park are shit but surely we should be looking to sign quality not a mercenary looking for one last pay day who is well passed his best. But knowing Wenger he will probably sign him or Henry

Exactly. You won't get a player like Darren Bent coming to Arsenal and sitting on the bench for most of the season. Its the reason we signed Park.Gunnerz4life wrote:If we are only looking for someone to fill in for RVP if/when he does get injured, should we be expecting a quality signing? Wenger will not change the system, so RVP will always start given the form he is in. Will a quality player want to join us just to sit on the bench?
We haven't even seen much of the guy and everyone is writing him off. Look at his goal against Bolton to he has it in him. People are too obsessed with how much a player costs.
