It's all a bit Stalinist IMO! Fair enough when they have passed onto Highbury in the Sky but that should be it.

Next they will be unveiling statues of Friar Tout & Gin Swilling Hillwood outside the main entrance

Not sure about the Bergkamp testimonial but reference to the final game he wanted to say goodbye to Highbury on his own. to my knowledge he did so a little while before the final game. He didn't want all of the fuss of the last game celebrations (just the way he is I suppose).

He also turned down the chance to go with Twitch'y down to Shite Hart lane as he didn't want to disrespect the Arsenal fans (Something GG wasn't too bothered about).

I think the problem with doing anything like this for someone who is still alive is you never know when they are likely to do something to disrespect the club (i.e. O'Leary, GG etc.)

Geordie Armstrong and Rocky would be fine with me.

There are many candidates and at least on will come from the early days of the club.
A wenger statue though is unlikely, but if that is what we get, then I can show my appreciation by taking a piss on it next time I'm over.

Adams was also working with Portsmouth, they had a game the day of the Wigan game and explained he was unable to get time off, and was committed to his job.

You can't expect the guy while employed by another football club to have gone awol and turned up to wave to the crowd can you.

He did the correct professional thing.

He has "proved" his arsenal love a hundred times over the years.

I cannot believe anyone who supports our club will ever question Tony Adams and his committment to Arsenal.

When he said goodnight vs Celtic....that was that...he did not need to attend anything else.....

Statue of him is a must.

Sammy I already said that for me he should be the top name on the list for a legend statue but I did think that the lack of respect he showed to Bergkamp was bad form

A testimonial is awarded to a player for fans to show their appreciation of that player and former team-mates play to show respect to the player and I felt, no still feel, that as his former captain TA6 should have been in attendance even if he didnt want to play
