RIP Gary Speed
He can see no Reasons cos there are no reasons !
The thing is though If someone is depressed there are often tell tale signs over a period of time .
In this case it seems completely out of the blue which suggest something very traumatic happened and he reacted.
Wife leaving him because of his or her affair with a man/woman ?
Who knows it's very sad for sure.

Not wanting to sounds too juvenile but I'm pretty sure the Mancs started that. It's hard to know what to do these days with silence/applause/appreciation etc, but I think the message of respect came across.JakeN13 wrote:I was very proud of the respect shown by all Gooners last night, still I felt slightly uncomfortable with the signing of "One Gary Speed" and the cheering under the circumstances.

They weren't sure how the crowd would react because although we always used to do a period of silence, on the continent they normally applaud and over the past few years that has started creeping into our traditions. That's probably why they went with the word 'appreciation'.SWLGooner wrote:I think the phrase 'a minute's appreciation' was a very odd one to use; a minute's applause or a minutes silence... which one?

Hmmm... But then go with one or the other, no, don't leave it up to people, which always leads to irritation..I Hate Hleb wrote:They weren't sure how the crowd would react because although we always used to do a period of silence, on the continent they normally applaud and over the past few years that has started creeping into our traditions. Yeah I thought this, when he said appreciation I thought people would start to clap immediately.SWLGooner wrote:Hmmm...
