January 2012 Transfer Window

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Will this had better just be one big fucking bluff because if the GIC is even half serious. Read on dear Gooners......

Wenger - I doubt I’ll buy another striker

Arsène Wenger says it is unlikely he will make a move for another striker in the January transfer window.

Wenger currently has three forwards at his disposal with Robin van Persie, Marouane Chamakh and Ju Young Park all vying for a starting place.

But despite the imminent loss of Chamakh to the Africa Cup of Nations, the Frenchman says he has no plans to bolster his squad.

"At the moment, I do nothing in January,â€

Predicted it weeks ago Frank. We will not sign a single player in January.....and as for all the £30m Goetze stories...about as believable as the Benzema / Hazard / M'Vila ones in the Summer

I just know that RvP will get injured right at the end of the window and we'll be left with that fucking useless Moroccan twat and "super quality" Park up front just as the CL resumes and the chase for 4th evaporates

Sign a fucking striker Wenger - there's nothing clever whatsoever making do with the clowns we saw up front on Tuesday night

The thing is mate, I genuinely think he is after Gotze / an out and out play-maker. He has his priorities wrong AGAIN.................. :banghead:

Just listening to his claims that Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arshavin are "strikers" must surely prove to the rose-tinters that he has lost it.

But in the same breath we musn't fast-track Oxlade-Chamberlain. However, throwing him in desperately as a reserve striker sounds just the job when we're playing in the CL come March :D

I knew you'd bite.

Anyway, Adebayor is heaps better than Chamuck and the dog eater and if you look past the baggage and laziness/shit attitude (no worse than the fat Russian) he's actually a quality striker. Having him as back up to RvP would have been perfect.

I loved him when he was here tbh and it pains me to see him playing well and scoring for the scum.

And when that fucking absolute wanker of a man gets his contract at his next club he'll turn straight back into that lazy shit attitude player we all know. Wouldnt give him the time of day, would rather play with a center back up front that see that tosser back in our team
