Not putting atleast 1 sub on after we were 3 up was just mind boggling. A perfect chance for someone like Ox or Cham to get a goal and some confidence but we dont take it. When we dumped everyone on after it was finally 4-0 with just 10 mins left it just gives the message to the bench players that they aren't trusted ffs.
Just sat in a premier inn hotel by Manchester airport. flying to Athens early tomorrow.
Slow start to game today and could have been one down. Some good performances in the end. An easy win and it seems a new song started........ He will score when he likes, he will score when he likes, Robin Van Persie................. You get the idea. Original hey
Szczesny was pure quality at the end, stood in front of us singing Were by far the greatest team................. Legend in the making

Yeah it's great to see the number of gooners we have in the squad at the moment. Apart from Shezza, there is Jack, Frimpong, Jenko, Gibbs, Ox, even the likes of RvP and Merts are boyhood Arsenal fans. You also have someone like Gervinho saying Arsenal was always the club for him. We're truly lucky to have so many gooners in the squad, especially when you consider how much of a mercenary sport football has turned into as well as the lack of loyalty these days.RioGooner wrote:Loved to see that, we all know this squad is a bit shit but he can't complain about the lack of heart these lads are showing since the end of the transfer window.1989 wrote:

It also shows with how hard they seem to be working too, compare to more talented players that have moved on and I know who I would rather pay to watch, pay is the key word here when making said decision.1989 wrote:Yeah it's great to see the number of gooners we have in the squad at the moment. Watched it on a dodgy stream, granted it was a sticky start but after the goal it was game over, cracking goal from Arteta who had a good game, he may not be Fabregas but he brings discipline to this team which we've lacked for years.
Big win, it may just be Wigan but its been a sticky ground recently, progress whether you like it or not.

This side imo has the most likability of any we've seen since the invincibles. It lacks the depth to achieve anything of note in the current game but im still enjoying watching it. Far more team spirit, less coasters and shoulder shrugging as we ship goal after goal. Arguably we hit rock bottom and have come back stronger and in Vermaelen and RvP we've got a couple of proper leaders.
I also find our style of play far less frustrating now that we have some genuine width and pace.
