The FA Cup draw thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Surely this is where your trusty axe, lorry and knowledge of secluded woodland burial spots off the M6 should come in handy? Or are they reserved strictly for the prostitutes? :?

Apart from footy I get on very well with my in laws. I'm a lucky man.

Can't you post this on a Sunderland forum instead? This is still an Arsenal forum last time I checked.
sorry princess, thought this was just an fa cup draw thread, hence my also posting the city and arsenal draws x
I don't mind having users here that support other clubs, but I come on an Arsenal forum to read things about - surprise, surprise - Arsenal. Yet you seem insistent in turning this place into your personal Sunderland blog. I've no problem with Sunderland, but there's a time and a place (on a Sunderland forum, presumably).
i dont really mention them too much- theres the bendtner thread (which obviously mentions us), but other than that i dont tend to start threads about it, things like the bruce sacked and o'neill in threads were started by other people and i just commented in them (as you do when something at your club is mentioned) but other than when other people start threads about it i only tend to mention SAFC as a reference point in threads like the one about trying to get a good atmosphere at the emirates (since we've been given a singing section its an obvious thing to mention). I'll make sure to limit it further in future though, wouldnt want a 2 line post in a thread about the fa cup draw to ruin your day since its so hard to simply skip over it  Anyway, off to the pub now to watch a match involving 2 teams, the said match may be mentioned in the Bendtner thread, just so that you're pre-warned
I wish there was more Sunderland talk on here to be perfectly honest. It makes me realise how bad things could be. I mean playing in front of disinterested crowds, no hope of winning the league, abject surrender in local derbies, no decent signings.. oh, hold on a minute... um, ..... that's us these days.

Getting your defence strategy and "alibi" in early I see. Well played. Ever the conniving 2-faced Liberal Democrat eh?

I can't let that go, even if it is way off topic. I am deeply ashamed and embarassed about what the LDs have done in the last 18 months. Not delivered a leaflet or knocked on a door since.

Now back to the murde.. I mean footy.

Just seen this on redcafe about Chelsea's FA cup draws and I've been thinking the same for some time...

Here's their draws up to the semi finals each year.

5th Round: Colchester
6th Round: Newcastle

06/07
3rd Round: Macclesfield
4th Round: Nottingham Forest
5th Round: Norwich
6th Round: Spurs

07/08
3rd Round: QPR
4th Round: Wigan - Away
5th Round: Huddersfield
6th Round: Barnsley - Away

08/09
3rd Round: Southend
4th Round: Ipswich
5th Round: Watford - Away
6th Round: Coventry - Away

09/10
3rd Round: Watford
4th Round: Preston - Away
5th Round: Cardiff
6th Round: Stoke

10/11
3rd Round: Ipswich
4th Round: Everton

11/12
3rd Round: Portsmouth

To Summarize the 23 Draws:

1 Away game against Premier League opposition before the neutral stages.
Every single 3rd round draw has been at home, against non-Premier League opposition.

Always disappointed when we don't get to play against a team we've never faced before. These things seem to go in bloody repeat phases. A few years back it seemed like we got Sheffield United every bloody year in the Cups.....perhaps its Leeds turn.

Could be worse. At least its a home draw and with Leeds bringing 9000, it does make for a good atmosphere.

TBH after initial disappointment my birthday game is dirty Leeds at home for the second year running, I wouldn't mind us getting a Chelsea-esque, Russian-bought run of piss easy fixtures then back us to beat someone half decent over 90 minutes, or even the likes of Watford and Millwall in the two games at Wembley (yes, you, you haven't had it too hard over the years have you, you fucking whiney plastic *word censored*, I hope you all die, thanks, stop feeling sorry for yourselves and go slit your wrists) 8)

Delighted with that. Normally the Mancs get to rest everyone against the might of someone like Crawley or Exeter at this stage. Old Rednose will have to think twice about playing reserves, given the Palace debacle, possible CL exit (or at least a difficult draw against a Group winner......Barca please !!), and probably still five to ten points behind City when they play

I still remember those fickle *word censored* saying how Fergie had "lost the plot" in 2002.....bring on some Manc misery :barscarf:

Don't be such a misery guts :?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with safcftm (apart from his obsession with Bendtner  ) and I think he does post plenty about Arsenal, but in any case.... if you don't like his posts, just ignore them! it's that simple.
