The opening act is Lou Reed WITH Metallica - feckin' KERRRRRRAAAAANNNGGG! ..Then the act immediately after them is a Reggae Act - a chick called called Hollie Kook (I think) the backing band /music are okay(ISH) But she is Totally Shaggable!
Wow, Lou Reed and Metallica ........ serious jamming gig that. Remember seeing Lou Reed backing U2 years back , totally blew them away.
Blast from the past. Was at 'The Sisters of Mercy' gig last night, really enjoyed it, even dug me old Winkle pickers out for it! Something weird about
seeing fourty year plus men in white make up though So much smoke and fog you could hardly make out Eldrich but he still has the voice. Right, off to play 'Dominion ' to sooth the hangover.
Went to see Status Quo at the echo arena. First time I've seen them and thoroughly enjoyed it. The opening riff to "whatever you want" is one of the best guitar intros ever.
They were ably supported by Kim Wilde "kid in america" still sounds great and Roy Wood of Wizzard and The Move fame. Is there a greater christmas song than "I wish it could be christmas every day". Seeing him do it live is just a truly magical moment.
