Del - one thing, just a stylistic point, I think that 'Chelsea, united and ****' would have been better described as '*word censored* *word censored* and super *word censored*'... Maybe you could amend it?

Perhaps start a petition?

Anyway, very hard for a team to have cutting edge in a game that can be lost, the player will lose that crucial 1% edge.
Good Benayoun strike, and The Ox was impressive with his power and forward runs.
For a "respected poster" the above bolded bit is utter bollocks mate. That wasn't 1% missing. That was fucking 50% missing!
Most were very poor agreed, but I was talking more in general terms, that when a game is not crucial, a little something extra is missing from the players.
A touch of pace, a touch of concentration etc.

Whilst there was 3M Euros prize money to tonight's winners, for most of our players it would have felt like a friendly, and it showed.

(But nice to be known as a "respected poster"
:D )

Couldn't string two passes together, I've not seen a team given so much time & space since that 2-2 vs Barca and don't even get me started on the Fabianski/Mannone/Squillaci combo. Christ, what a circus.

The only upside was I'd forgotten what a fucking awesome racket they make in that ground. A doff of the cap to the Olympiakos fans...
Dan, I feel sorry for you and the other fans who paid good money for that pile of crap. If they were willing to give fans their money back for Old Trafford then in my opinion they should do the same for that,

Whilst I agree it was right to rest players in an almost meaningles game I also remember how it these kind of games were used by fringe players to show they could bring something to the party!

The only thing Chamakh would bring to a party would be 6ft tall, wearing a basque with an adams apple and called Dave!

Have been to so many European aways & seen crap performances like this, its expected now. Our record on the road in Europe for the last few years is so poor.

I don't want my money back, I want it spent on top quality players rather than gambled on cheap French amateurs.

Flappy Manonne Djourou Squillaci Arshavin and Chamakh havent become shit overnight.
We knew Flappy Mannone and Djourou have always been shit.Squillaci has never been good since we signed him.AA23 has given up and cant be arsed. And Chamakh has scored 2 goals in a year

But Wenger keeps playing them. The buck stops with the manager.Anyone who thought we had got rid of all the deadwood last season were mistaken

I've run out of words to describe how utterly fucking inept our back-up goalkeepers are. Watching that useless fucking *word censored* Fabianski, arms-a-flaying, charging off the line, causing blind panic to the back line is just too much to bear. If the pathetic weakling ever so much dares to utter another word about deserving to be Number 1 for club and country, to use a Clarksonism, he should be hauled out in front of us all at the Emirates and publically executed. Actually, I think the more fitting punishment would be forced to stand in front of us all while they play footage of all the errors the useless wanker has made on one of the big screens....

....but have no fear, Mannone is here. A guy who couldn't make it on loan at Barnsley or Hull, and is amazingly still at the club despite doing his best impression of a goalkeeper even more inept than Fabianski. Just pure comic book value watching his escapades and I wouldn't mind if he was a guy who performed well at reserve level....but he's fucking useless there as well.

I've spent these past few months worried about an RvP injury. If Chesney gets injured then I think we'll be needing 3 goals a game just to get a point with the Three Stooges in reserve.

If the mancs (the proper manc club that is, with a history) were in same position winners and a game left, they too would have put out a second string mix. difference is they'd play to win it or at least not lose it so the momentum carries on throughout the club ... and thus the confidence doesnt take a hit pre next PL game

arsene does this ev time - i think some of his selections stink ev time! ie squillaci, fabianski, djourou - these 3 are quite simply shite! and put the other 8 in an untenable position

Made it to the airport, still disappointed about last nights performance. The goals we conceded were weak, am not sure who is my man of the match. The only players that came out of the game looking good are non players like RVP and Theo as it shows how vital they are.

It is amazing how so few Greek fans make so much noise.

Methinks doth do protest too much.....you are an akb member really aint you ?

Despite some comments to the contrary, I dont think anybody has an objection to wenger playing largely a 2nd string but the points of frustration that we do have is that (a) the reserves are nowhere near good enough and (b) wenger seems totally incapable of motivating these *word censored* to play for the club and the fans who travelled to support them
